I am an IT Consultant, and reluctantly went with GoDaddy for their web builder. I say reluctantly because these guys have screwed up my website and two other websites. I lost a client because of these guys because they lied to me about the functionality of their systems. My client wanted to me to use these guys so I'm kinda screwed. I went to purchase a web builder + marketing plan, free email for a year and a free domain name. Simple, right? Nope, they screwed up my order three times and it took over 14 hours of talking and texting to try to get me what I paid for. Absolutely ridiculous!

My account got locked and the products I purchased are removed.The reason: While making payment google used my google account name and autofilled that. It got unnoticed by me unfortunately. Later on Godaddy team emails me to submit documents by login to my account but since account was locked I was unable to login to account. I contacted custmoer support and they asked to submit documents via some email. I did that. But ignoring that after few days I received an email saying no documents received and all your products purchased are canceled (Who is at mistake here?). When I again contacted customer support and informed that I actually provided the documents then a new email comes that your verified name does not match with name you used while making payment. So what!? (honestly it just seems to be a lame excuse to me to justify the old actions) My bank card name and my ID card name matches. I admit I made a mistake but for such a small mistake you guys can take such extreme actions!? If I submitted some fake documents or anything then such actions are surely justified. But for a small mistake such actions are totally unfair. Further with email mentioning the cancellation of all my products no refund related information is given. NOte that all purchases cancelled only 3 days after I made purchase and none of those products were yet used. As a responsible company they should have mentioned about refund also in same email. Honestly, For me I had a very very bad experience at the very first stepCustomer ID: 626110342

John explained everything clearly and kindly.I had great experiences with the help people at Go Daddy. (With one tiny exception, and that was obviously with a new worker who hadn't quite learned the rounds yet.) The rest out of several contacts were courteous, kind, and patient. I think it was about the best experience I have had with help centers.

I've had multiple issues with GoDaddy's customer support. Whenever I reach out for assistance, I either get passed around or my problem isn't properly resolved. It's incredibly frustrating to wait for a long time, only to be told vague solutions that don't help at all. The rules around purchasing domains with GoDaddy are unclear and confusing. I wasn't aware of several restrictions and ended up with extra charges I didn't expect. It's like they purposely leave out information so that you get trapped into buying things you don’t need.

I asked GoDaddy to close my domain because I had already cancelled the hosting (could not afford Siteground's bill to renew). The very patient customer care operative (who has a long name but said I can call her "Jazz") offered to switch my auto-renewal to manual renewal. So I still have the option to revive my website. She told me GoDaddy also provide site-hosting. She wasn't pushy which I really appreciate.

DO NOT PURCHASE "Ultimate Domain Protection|"$32.99/yearIt's NOT "Everything in Full Domain Protection" it's the most unthinkable, unprofessional and unsafe paid service I have ever seen for a domain provider. Also, I tried to downgrade it so many times,, and it's not POSSIBLE. It might Protect your domain from being deleted due to an expired credit card - yet it makes it IMPOSSIBLE to handle DNS as it will block any attempt of adding info to the domain more then a few times - making it IMPOSSIBLE to handle the domain!I recently attempted to change my DNS settings and MX records with GoDaddy, and I must say, the experience has been incredibly frustrating. Their so-called "security" system restricts you from making multiple changes in one day, enforcing a 24-hour waiting period after each set of modifications.This system not only feels excessive but also undermines the overall safety and functionality of my website. If I need to update my DNS settings promptly, this limitation makes it nearly impossible to do so without unnecessary delays.In a world where online security is paramount, it seems counterintuitive that a company would implement a system that puts my website in a state of flux for an extended period. It raises concerns about the safety of my site and the ability to manage it effectively.I urge GoDaddy to reconsider these restrictive measures. As a customer, I expect to have control over my domain without arbitrary delays. If you’re planning to change your DNS settings, be prepared for a drawn-out process that can leave your website feeling unstable and unsecured.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. I just spent an hour and a half on their useless customer support trying to get them to correct a £60 charge. Total waste of my time.To be clear I was not queuing for that time. It was mostly spent waiting for their agents to check with their supervisor, over and over again. And still not be helpful.

I can't comment on hosting, but we got moved onto the GoDaddy emailer system when they took over the (previously excellent) Mad Mimi system, then closed it down. By comparison, the GoDaddy system is awful - very difficult to replicate our previous good-looking email layouts and no sensible "Are you sure - this is about to go to nnnn recipients?" checks before an email is issued. Have now moved to Brevo which is, so far, very much better.
