Technical help is poor, I was asked to change a password to try and resolve a file upload issue and I have been locked out of my website ever since. Nobody at go daddy has an answer how to resolve it. It took almost 3 hours on the helpline to get me into a worse position than I started with. I gave up

I have been a customer of GoDaddy for nearly 20 years, and for most of that time, I had the service of an account manager. I used GD for Domain registrations and sales. I had the benefit of a free Domain Discount Club Membership.Without notification or authorisation, I was charged $479:76 on the 14th of September, 2024. I contacted support on the 15th of September, and the agent (name withheld) agreed to cancel and refund the payment and explained I would no longer have the benefit of DDC free going forward. I also discovered I no longer had an account manager.I heard nothing and, therefore, contacted support again on September 23rd. Again, the agent confirmed the transaction had not been cancelled but, this time, assured me that they were doing it at this point .com renewals had jumped to $21:00 from $12:00.I contacted my CC company and filled out the forms to effect a chargeback.On the 16th of October, I received a GD email to confirm the payment refund and asked me to supply an alternative payment method. I had already decided it was time to say goodbye to GD, and domain renewals are now managed elsewhere.Today, I still haven't received the refund to my CC. I've written to the CC company asking why. Getting support from outside the USA is not that convenient; it takes time and patience and usually involves dealing with someone in Asia. In my opinion, GD is focused on new retail clients, and the established clients are no longer important. Taking a first-time payment without either notification or intentions is not acceptable, and I wait almost two months after this incident to get my $479:76 refund.

Customer Service at GoDaddy UKOn calling the helpline I got straight through to an actual person (I didn't get 100 options & questions from a recorded voice)! The representative was patient, thoughtful, and solved the problem (even calling me back in Kenya as I was on a long distance call).

For the past week I've been receiving a stream of spam from foundrybrands.com, a site registered with GoDaddy. I have reported every single one of these to GoDaddy and received a standard acknowledgement for each report, but still the spam continues.If you can't stop it, tell me why. If you can stop it, stop it.Owners of other domains registered with GoDaddy might fear that they'll be blacklisted if their domain is associated with this anti-social and criminal activity.It's disappointing that it took a post on Trustpilot to get an explanation from GoDaddy, when all my previous reports to them have received nothing but a standard reply. Seems they're more concerned about how they LOOK than how they DO

I couldn’t improve my old review. It was one star for getting me stranded on New Year’s Eve. But they did rectify it that night. Which was awesome seeing how they had someone available to do that. That negative experience on NYE was rough. But they went from 1 to 4 stars for their excellent customer service. Which is probably why even though I originally said never again. That was impressive. And probably is why they would earn my business again. That was brilliant
