Do not buy your domain through GoDaddy. I know they sold my data as I started receiving spam emails before my website was live, and before the details were shared with anyone but GoDaddy. A shady, lying, illegal business that should be avoided at all costs.

I have been a customer of GoDaddy for almost 25 years. Their model of "keeping it simple for the customer" keeps me with GoDaddy year after year. I am not an IT pro and sometimes I get confused about all the options and terminology for websites. Today I called about a new product & service I purchased for a website and the GoDaddy representative was able to explain the issue and walk me through fixing my mistake in just minutes. He was very patient and spoke to me with skill and knowledge at my level of understanding. While the products are great, a main reason I have kept all my domains and email accounts with GoDaddy is the customer service model they have. It's the best!

Be more upfront and inform customers that when issuing a refund it will be done as a credit and expires after 1 year, not expecting people to read thru hundreds of pages of legal jargon to find that out. Also if the customer has no need or within that year no opportunity to use the credit, it be completely refunded to their card or bank account.
