I was automatically charged for a renewal for 2 email addresses for a not-for-profit business. I did not receive any notice in advance and of the payment (I've learned that they just charge without notifying me and I need to put renewals in my calendar). And on March 29, 2025 they charged me about $300 for 2 email addresses after paying $81 CAD for 2 years. They took the payment before I could even go into their system the same day and look at what they would be charging. Last year they tried to charge the same and it was reversed back to the original $81 CAD. The person I spoke to on March 29th was not helpful and I said I would call back. I did not call back till today. Operator #1 was not helpful; tried giving me solutions that didn't make any sense; says he spoke to his supervisor Emanuel Costa twice, whom he said was in a meeting, came back insisting that there was a 7 day POLICY to deal with cancelations / refunds. So why didn't the guy on March 29th do something about this? They refused to offer a refund for the higher payment after 1 hour on the call today. The manager refused to speak to me. I was given his phone extension but no main number in which to use it (regular phone # does not allow for a phone extension to be entered); I called back, waited 40 minutes to speak to someone, and despite operator #2 taking my phone number and saying he was going to explore this further he never called me back after disconnecting the call. Super frustrated and disgusted by the lack of decent pricing and customer service. Years ago I would say the operators available on Godaddy was substantial and helpful. In recent years it's been terrible. It seems all godaddy is focused on is $$$. IS THERE ANYONE AT GODADDY WHO ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE? IS $220 CAD ACTUALLY WORTH MORE TO YOU THAN A CUSTOMER SPENDING $$$ ON 13 DOMAINS WHO IS GOING TO MOVE THEM???????
