Website creation has been new to me but GoDaddy was very helpful in the construction process!

GoDaddy earned a one star rating and a 5 star rating.We started with a disaster when GoDaddy lost our website even though we pay for backup services. We had planned to upgrade the site from custom code to WordPress this fall, so we made the decision to bite the bullet and convert as they could not recover the site.We read many of the tutorials on WordPress's site getting ready for this conversion, and after this loss built a model of what we wanted the new site to look like on GoDaddy - very similar to our old custom site. We had our team review the model to make sure all the products were represented correctly, looked smart, had UPCs, dimensions, weights, SKUs, etc. Very similar to our old website. We picked out 21 products that represent the over 650 products we have as examples of each type so we could then use these for the rest.We contracted GoDaddy Website Design services to take the model add USPS rates, GoDaddy Payment Processing, etc.The design team had us upload all the images, pdfs, and point them to the WordPress model. Apparently the design team failed to look at the model creating many serious errors. The designer didn't even realize we had given the the WordPress model. GoDaddy Beginner Errors: We provided all images in three sizes, thumbnail, medium, and high res formats. & in png or jpg. Errors - wrong image used - thumbnail for a large image size resulting in a blurry image, jpg where the png should be used, etc.Many of our products have instruction manuals, or rule books in pdf format. The design team failed to upload these to the new website and instead pointed them to the model website we built (which gets turned off when we go live). So we had to identify all of the mislinked documents.The team failed to enter product additional information req'd for shipping - weight, dimensions. When they did put these in, the set the default for the system to metric (kg-cm) even though the values were in english (lbs-in). The values were in the model and in a spreadsheet as well. Wrong images were used for products - each of our image names starts with the SKU - the design team put wrong images against products. For example - the product Outer Planets had an image for Stations which clearly says Stations with the Stations SKU.While the Design person who handled the calls was very professional, the efficiencies of the actual team doing the design team was very very poor. Having managed teams with up to 500+ people doing product design and development, software, hardware, etc. the problem seems to be with the lack of training, motivation, verification, or drive to get things right. Sloppy errors of not reviewing one's work requires then several more people to be involved to fix.Our website could have been designed and put into live status in about 1/3 the time and effort had the team used the materials given. Your opportunity to improve your profitability is high. There are a few bright stars in GoDaddy who are a shining light of hope. When the website went live, we had problems with GoDaddy Payments not connecting to the website. We had set this up about a month earlier, did a test transaction to our bank, did a reversal, etc. and everything worked perfectly the first time.The Website Design team said we would have to talk to the GoDaddy Payments team as they could not talk to them directly to make this work. We were transferred to Payments and waited about 20-30 min on the phone for someone to pickup, then after discussing that it wasn't working the agent David was asking us what the design team thought the problem was. The design team told us it may have to be re-setup again from scratch or there might be a problem with the company name, or something with is the business registered with IRS, or ??? (Note: we have been in business for over 15 years, are an INC., haven't changed our name, etc.)We were put on hold again for about another 20 minutes and then the line dropped. We waited for a while hoping someone would call back and then decided to call GoDaddy support. Phil answered and in literally a few minutes found the problem where the design team failed to check a box and enable processing. He then went through many of the other settings to see if they were all setup correctly and made a number of suggestions which he turned on for us.If Phil worked for me, I would be giving him and his spouse a nice Dinner For Two reward as a thankyou!!!!! He is why I rated this as a 5 star!!!!We still have a problem with USPS rates not being calculated and defaulting to the default value. The design team said we have to contact the postoffice again to have them fix this even though about a month ago we followed the GoDaddy instructions on what to request, copied them on all the correspondence, and the design team said they have everything they need. So we will see how this turns out.

I don't know where to start. The worse registrar in my life, after 20 years of experience.The problem was first on me, I moved a domain to godaddy, and after 30 minute I regretted it. That's when the crazy part started.I cancelled everything, but none of that was possible, even by contacting the support, where they *lied* that I had to wait for the process to complete first, then request the reimbursement.After the process was complete, the domain was transferred. I wanted to revert that with a reimbursement, but that was not possible, according to them, either a reimbursment or the auth code to transfer the domain.When I asked the auth code, they said it was not possible, another *LIE*, the auth code is available the second the transfer is complete.I can't believe this service has 4.6, i will delete my account as soon as possible.

I was immediately impressed with GoDaddy because my call was answered immediately instead of the usual long wait period on hold.My service representative was absolutely excellent and provided very clear and helpful answers. We changed my present contracts to something that was much better for all of my needs. Truly appreciated his knowledge and assistance.

The main issue was the content. I had multiple tickets open for the same issue that reoccurred over and over. I had specific equipment sizing and the content team continually put massive track excavator type equipment advertising for a 1 skid-steer company. I did an on demand ad at which I was focused on storm work in Augusta for Helene and godaddy made the ad from Florida to northern Georgia even though I specifically stated we were focused around this city. They advertise a 24-48 hour turnaround and that post being time sensitive took 4 days to roll out. I empathized on I would be doing storm work and even after speaking with content manager it came to focus on grading work, and after four complaints another massive track ho was once again in the line up on images. I did receive an apology from the content manager and an offer of a discounted month. I placed a ticket in for the fourth time on the massive excavator and was told services was expired showing godaddy marketing had 0 faith or customer loyalty even after about 5 years of total using their product. When I received this from the marketing manager I told him thanks for making my decision easy at which time I immediately replied to ensure the scheduled post did not go out, at which they immediately cut the access to the e-mail not even giving the customer the opportunity to respond. A great company would at least give 24-48 hours especially having other products within their company. Finally I tried calling in to ensure the bogus content was not pushed. Lastly I waited on hold for over 30 minutes trying to speak to the marketing team to ensure the content wasn’t pushed and the only conclusion I could come to is they willingly avoided the call. Out of four months there was not one lead generated not one phone call that came from this team. Completely a waste of time and money. This was a very expensive apology. The platform has such good promise and reach, but it has to have the correct content to be effective.

Just made my first call to GoDaddy for help with an issue that was over my head. The representative was knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Handled the issue quickly. I feel really good about my choice to go with GoDaddy-they have excellent tech support.

This is an unreliable business mainly because this trainer Mr.Jorge Luis Diez has neither ethics nor decency. He clearly cannot be trusted and he's not the kind of person a decent person would trust. Beware of his devious behavior if you ever fall in his radar.

I was having difficulty accessing my business email. I tried microsoft support, and it was an absolute joke, using only AI and not allowing me to speak to human. It was just taking me in circles and was very maddening and frustrating. I eventually was able to get to go daddy's website and support. I was blessed to get Fahad Amirul Aziz, Sales & Support as my support person. He was able to walk me through everything I need to do to get my business email up and running again. This in turn allowed me access back to my business on shopify again. I was quite sick for a year or so and didn't realize I would get locked out if I didn't go in. Anyway, all issues have been resolved thanks to Fahad and his patience and knowledge were very appreciated. I understand AI is the next step, but this interaction proves that there is nothing that can replace the human touch. You have an excellent employee in Fahad, and I hope he is valued by you and considered for a promotion in the near future. Well done. Thank you.

This place used to be a good place to buy I've been shopping here for years for months now I noticed I've been getting a lot of bad produce I've made multiple courtesy calls thinking that maybe they just overlooking something but I found that's not the case they're purchasing produce right at the point of going bad as cheap as they can buy and selling it for as much as they can get

I'm very disappointed that GoDaddy needs to have a policy where they don't refund a service that curiously expires way beyond the renewal date of the website. When I retired and ended my website before the renewal deadline (I paid attention), I requested a refund for adjunct services I would no longer be using as a long-time customer ending her career. I submitted a refund request and waited a few weeks. I received an impersonal, basic response. They would not refund an under $200 amount due to their "policy". So, pay attention to your plan end dates. I'm paying for services on a website that no longer exists, regardless of circumstances. This is what they do. This could have been a positive review. I'm choosing not to leave my customer number, as I've already received their answer, and I hope this review helps you to not get caught in this unfortunate issue.
