I had trouble logging onto my email yesterday. I tried to get help yesterday but had no success. I had to wait on hold for 1.5 hour before I was able to get through for help. But within 10 minutes the lady had me fixed up and ready to go again.

Our client’s test hosting plan was set to expire, and since I had originally set it to not auto-renew (to avoid surprise charges and raised eyebrows), it was time to step in and manually renew.I logged into our agency GoDaddy account, navigating via the oh-so-handy delegate access. Confidently, I clicked the “Renew” button—only to be met with a cryptic error message. Something vaguely ominous, like “Processing Error,” which is tech-speak for “good luck figuring this one out.”So, I did what any rational person would do: I called GoDaddy support.Twenty-seven minutes later…An agent finally picked up, only to remind me, ever-so-cheerfully, that as a delegate I don’t have the power to make purchases. “Ask the client,” they said.Fair enough. I ping the client, who is gracious and quick to respond. But when they try to renew it on their end, they hit a completely different error. Great. Now we’re collecting error messages like Pokémon.Still trying to avoid another long phone wait, I decide to engage GoDaddy’s AI chatbot. The bot is surprisingly sharp and quickly hands me off to a human in the text chat.Immediately, the human starts asking for 2FA codes and other verification info in a way that feels just a little too sketchy. My internal scam alarm starts buzzing, so I back away from the chat and return to my old frenemy: phone support.This time, the gods of GoDaddy smiled on me—only a 2-minute wait.The new support agent was efficient and direct. He reminded me that in order to proceed, I’d need both the email and text verification codes from the client. I ping the client again, collect the codes, and pass them along.The agent jumps into action and confirms the hosting plan has been successfully renewed. He casually drops the bomb that the server was on the verge of being automatically deleted.A narrow escape.All in all, a triumphant tale of delegation, digital bureaucracy, and dodging deletion—with only minor emotional scarring.?
