I have complained in the past but... Today's interaction with GoDaddy's customer service - technical side was like the good-old days! Excellent service, great attitude, helped where they could and didn't where they couldn't.Way to go GoDaddy!!!!! Thank you for the excellent service today.ADDING AN UPDATE: 9-17-2024The information shared with me regarding my website issues and the underlying problem was as I understood it to be when I wrote that review. Today, I know it was incorrect. It took over a week to learn this fact. The customer service rep suggested that I move my business citing that GoDaddy was no longer for the average business person but for developers! What?? After doing business with them for over 20 years…stunned!I received the same survey after my last customer service call where I listed the issue and problem. No call, no email, and certainly no forwarded post to add that review to Trustpilot …. What you see here has been cherry picked to fool you.SMHDo better GoDaddy, do better.Here is a list:I’ve had to go to the creator of the theme of my WP website because GoDaddy couldn’t or wouldn’t…shocking the creator of my theme (seriously, they were stunned!)I then send a link to my shared drive so the team at GoDaddy could use the theme files to keep my website updated. Commonly used website themes!My site crashed when GoDaddy updated the plug-ins, and it took over a week to restore the site while I was told they were too busy! This jeopardized thousands of dollars in revenue and caused a huge problem in my marketing program that span LinkedIn, HubSpot, and of course my website. The other two companies were, again, in shock that GoDaddy was my vendor - yes, they recommended I move my business but I didn’t. Edits to the site (a paid service) take over two weeks to complete even though the edits are simple paragraph replacements. Almost every edit required four attempts for their team to get it right. What I saw on the desktop was no where the same on a mobile device - literally novice mistakes, over and over.Sick of this, I grabbed the WP documentation, teaching myself how to do my own edits. That was working wonderfully. A month later, and the current problem, GoDaddy team changed my settings and now I can’t make edits but they assure me, if I renew the editing service, they will be able to do my edits. Shake down?Taking the customer service reps words to heart, I’m in search of a new company with the values GoDaddy use to have!Ridiculous.Do not use this company.They do not care about your business.

When Bob Parsons still owned GoDaddy the tech support was second to none, in my humble opinion. I have been building websites for over 15 years and I was ALWAYS able to get tech support to help with anything. Once the company was sold, it was a complete 180. They brought in foreigners, instead of US based American, English speaking techs. Non-native English speakers, and I am sorry but I have trouble understanding those with heavy accents. I have no problem with these people if they can speak clearly and know what the heck they are doing and are willing to be helpful and truthful. This was the first point of contention. The next was the upsell, this was never an issue before Parsons sold it. The reps would always ask if there was anything else they could help with, not bad, but courteous, helpful, no push at me to buy some other product. That changed so much so that I immediately sought other hosting providers and domain registrars. My most recent encounter, not by choice, a client has her domain and hosting with them, was nothing short of a joke. I opted to purchase managed SSL from one rep, recieved an email from them saying that it had been completed, taken care of assuring me that they would connect my client's SSL to her site, well they lied!!! The most recent tech conversation say that the previous rep did not follow through with what I was told they would do - imagine my shock, the horror!! Now I am told I will have to connect the SSL myself. Another reason I choose not to use them, they make this whole process so much harder than it has to be and tech support does not help, they just muddy the waters and confuse the issue more not to mention the fact they royally tick me off. They promise and promise but never deliver. DO NOT USE GODADDY!! There are better options, currently one of those in Hostinger.
