I recently paid for transfer of my domain name to GoDaddy and followed the instructions on the one and only email received. 30 days later they cancelled my domain name I thought had transferred without any warning or communication. I immediately rang them and they informed me I'd not accepted the transfer email so the process had been cancelled. How can I accept something I've never received? They can't resolve the problem without me having to pay again. Totally disappointed with the service received when it's down to their lack of communication or clear instructions.

Here is the thing about Go Daddy, if you get to the right people because you get the right telephone number, they do a good job. However, if you call their main number, you'll go to a switchboard that is impossible to navigate. I'm a 20+ year Customer of Go Daddy and I spent an hour trying to get a call through to somebody to assist me by adding a couple of tabs to my webpage. I gave up and tried again a week later with a new phone number I have found, and my request was resolved within a few minutes.If you find yourself in the main switchboard of Go Daddy, you might as well hang up and try again with some other number you might find on the Internet. The general switchboard is absolutely horrible to deal with.

Extremely Disappointing and Misleading Service from GoDaddy UKMy experience with GoDaddy UK has been beyond disappointing. Over a month ago, I was missold a website marketing tool costing £345. After an unnecessarily prolonged process, they finally agreed to a refund. However, despite repeatedly assuring me that the refund would be processed, they misled me continuously, only to ultimately refuse the refund at the last minute.Dealing with their customer service has been frustrating and exhausting at every step. I now have no choice but to escalate the matter to UK Consumer Protection authorities for intervention. This entire experience has been shockingly poor—especially considering I’ve been a loyal customer for over five years.I strongly advise others to avoid GoDaddy UK. Their practices feel deceptive and border on outright scams. Stay away. In response to ZH from Go daddy below: Dear ZH,Your reply precisely demonstrates the ongoing issue of misleading communication from GoDaddy. I was explicitly assured multiple times by your customer service team that the refund was approved and imminent, not merely "raised for review." These assurances were unambiguous and direct. The sudden reversal and refusal, after weeks of reassurance, strongly suggests deceptive practices and gaslighting of customers.Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, I am clearly entitled to a refund due to mis-selling. I have already escalated this matter to UK Citizens Advice (Ref: CCA503732) and will escalate further unless this is immediately rectified.Your customers deserve clarity and integrity, not repeated false assurances. Immediate action to resolve this is expected.Yours sincerely,

You have republish your website every month, it goes down all of the time, without notice.I have reported this multiple times but their team just ask the same questions again and again with no resolution and clearly no account management. Also, what is very alarming as it should be standard procedure for companies is that they have no complaints procedure. I have requested this information multiple times and they will not provide it. They even tried to suggest logging it as a spam issue but the route they suggest does not allow you to make the complaint or put detail in. I would definitely suggest going to a more professional company who will actually look after your account and provides a reliable service.
