We've been using the Hostgator website platform for about 2-3 months now. Their website builder is very straight forward. When we were researching website hosting companies, some reviewers mentioned Hostgator does not offer phone support. That has not been an issue whatsoever. I have had the occasion to use their Chat service 4 times and each time, a 'real' person was on the chat taking my questions within no more than 3 mins. That combined with the fact the support team is professional, kind, and courteous, I have nothing but great things to say. Each and every question I have presented so far has been answered quickly and they are more than happy to allow me to test the resolve before they leave the line. Many more than 5 stars from this user.

I recently purchased a business plan, paying 4-yrs in advance, with the intention of using it to grow my business. I transferred my website from my current host to Hostgator without issue. I submitted the request to transfer my domain to them as well. That too was without issue. I was able to access my site without any problems. Less than 24 hours later, my site is down and unaccessible. I attempted to reach the live support chat online, and there was none. I sent an email and attempted to reach anyone in a support role via their Facebook page. That too was fruitless. The host professes a 99.9% uptime. Well, it's been over 4 hours that my website has been down (that I know of) and support is nowhere to be found. As I've only had the service a few days, I canceled and will look for a different host.

I can't speak highly enough of Hostgator. I first tried Hostgator when I created a web site for an old employer.I was so impressed that I decided to try Hostgator for my personal projects. So far, awesome! The price/performance ratio is excellent, IMHO. I get all the functionality I need at a great price.And Hostgator support is fantastic. So fast, friendly, and professional. I'm really happy with this web hosting company.

My website has been operational since 2014. This is the first and only time I have encountered the issue of my site being blocked. Users on my site can leave comments, and it turns out that the hosting provider, Hostgator, can essentially disable your site if they believe any comments on your site violate their internal hosting policies. In this way, they indirectly censor your site. I do not recommend or advise this hosting service if you are creating a review and comment platform.(29.11.2023)I just believe that it’s an excessive measure to halt the operations of the entire site. Also, a warning about the impending block could have been sent not only via email but also displayed in my account. Now, I’m considering a hosting service with a different content moderation policy. I’ve also reached out to the author of the comment (which led to the site being shut down) and informed him that his comment was removed due to a site-blocking threat from my hosting provider. The issue can now be considered resolved.

Thx for reply. In touch with tech support and will get outside email hosting. Recently, couldn't navigate to chat. Got links instead to articles that didn't apply. Another time, routed to chat when I wanted to find an email or submit an online ticket. Paid extra for Titan (will be reimbursed). It's the buggiest email program I've ever used. An example is it will send out highlighted text if you moved text around while composing. You won't know until it's sent. Appreciate that Hostgator listens to feedback here and through email. They send emails after chat, so I was able to reopen a ticket that way. Their web hosting and tech support has been very good otherwise.

What I like the most about Hostgator is their support. They always answer and resolve my questions quickly, in a matter of minutes. I send just 1 message and they understand everything right away. Most of my rating comes from the support, then the best panel I've used compared to other hosting services and within the service everything works for me and works fast.
