I had the worst experience with GoDaddy, both in terms of their service and customer support. I tried to purchase a domain for my business, advertised on their website as £25.99 for a 3-year term, excluding VAT (£0.01 for the 1st year, then £12.99/year). Despite attempting to make the payment online three times, it never went through. I reached out to customer support, and that's when things got even worse.Komal from their team assisted me, processing the transaction on my behalf. However, I was charged £32.97 excluding VAT, which was not what was advertised. I spent over an hour trying to explain the discrepancy, even sending multiple screenshots to show the error, but Komal couldn't grasp the issue or perform a simple price match. In the end, I had to request a refund.This entire experience was an absolute waste of time. I will not be using GoDaddy again. Avoid making payment via customer service at all costs!

Had GoDaddy build a managed WordPress website. It was only a handful of pages. They installed and built the website with their in-house plugins. When you ask a year later why the plugins have gone out of date and can't be updated via the plugin page, they say you must pay for a premium plan to keep the plugins up to date. They leave their customers with the option of... Risk getting the website hacked because of the out-of-date plugins supplied by them to design the website. Pay more than originally agreed to maintain the site in its current format. Disable the plugins and lose the formatting, appearance, and overall layout. Rebuild the site yourself. I am sorry but that is not right.

I am setting up a new system with systemio and using a Go Daddy domain. Along the way of somehow made my domain not published/not working. And was running into a lot of roadblocks. One phone call to go daddy and about 25 minutes later everything was fixed and now just waiting 24 to 48 hours for everything to go through and be set up for success! I love that you are able to doing a chat or Following guides because this was a lot more seamless talking with someone and second frustrated with a computer or the guidelines not helping you the way you need help.

Searched for a domain. Saw it was available, so proceeded to arrange for web developer and other prep work. Came back shortly thereafter to purchase the domain and all of a sudden it was taken and GoDaddy asked for a broker fee to pursue the purchase. I am pretty sure once you get interested in a domain and unless you grab it immediately, it is taken by either some entity that monitors the domain search, or some GoDaddy internal department to increase profits.
