Really outstanding customer service. I had a reply extremely quickly from Benas at technical support, which fixed my problem straight away. I have been with other companies who didn't seem to care if problems were fixed or not, but the service at Hostgator is really outstanding.

Hostgator has very aggressive cross-selling strategies. With every single action you take, they want to force you to get something from them. To the degree that doing the most simple things is very difficult, if not impossible. This would have been ok if they had good support to show you how to navigate this complex maze that they have made for their clients; however, their help articles are outdated and wrong; the AI chat bot fails to answer questions, and there is no real human customer service. It was such a waste of money, time, and energy to buy a plan from them. I would never go back to them and don't recommend their frustrating experience to anyone.

The process was fast and hassle-free. What really stood out was their incredible customer support. They were responsive, helpful, and made sure I had everything I needed. Highly recommend!

I registered a domain and created a website. That was easy and Hostgator provides good interface for that. However, I wanted to keep the site for one year, so I disabled auto renew. Unfortunately, every website has multiple plans and I didn't disable the autorenew in all of them. So next year, this charged me around £140 for a website I wasn't using any more. I tried to delete everything related to my website and domain, but this is confusing. I cannot tell if Hostgator will keep charging me for any of the services or not. On top of that, while I was browsing in the dashboard, some pages were not loading.

The best part about Hostgator is that it's easy to chat with an actual human. And these humans are well trained. I use them mainly for human chat support, affordability, local payment options, and reliable service. Using it for the last 6 years, and am happy with what they offer.
