I have used GoDaddy to pay for an email domain and checked that the website domain was available (both were) and obviously I took the week trial to build my website and to get feedback from family and friends before the next layout in terms of costs. This was naïve on my part as low and behold the domain for the website has now gone but they can offer me a broker service to buy it for an additional £100 on top of the published website fees for the paid site. I feel this is more than a coincidence and GoDaddy are taking advantage of new and small businesses who are navigating their way around a lot of new information and costs at the beginning stages of setting up a business. They are now not competitive for the website because of the additional costs they want to add. If I can no longer have the domain I initially wanted and wont match my email address then I might as well take my business elsewhere. Be cautious with how you use the services of GoDaddy. I also found that they let me pay for an email domain to find out that there is a website offer that includes this (again, my fault but I guess I thought this site was aimed at beginners and those who are just getting started - so we are not expected to know everything upfront). Best of luck to anyone setting up, I wish I had gone elsewhere.
