great customer experience and very good hosting

I paid for a website subscription for a month after it was disconnected. They stopped my service 3 days after payment claiming there was a grace period of when it expired and when I paid. This was in fact completely not the case as immediately my website expired it was cut off from the internet with the page usually displayed when hosting is not paid for. They are con and daylight robbers with poor communication. The "grace" was never communicated I had to find out the hard way by browsing through my site. The grace period is a con term as my website was immediately terminated on due date for next payment. It is unfair robbery that this happened with no clear explanation of where my money went and how. This is not there when signing up and you are duped by false offers to subscribe. I was one of them. I urge all future customers of Hostgator to reconsider before transacting with them as they will be in for a rude awakening. The support has been terrible with over 20 mins of wait time on chat and when connected another 15 mins to gather information. Sometimes after the long wait time you are again thrown to a different support agent in which the cycle continues. Their rates are exorbitant considering allocated storage space and the poor panel they opt to use. It is extremely difficult. On reliability & website speeds I have had the worst experience with prestashop. Prestashop future customers stay away from this platform, the load times are degenerate. It has been the worst experience with Hostgator. Another foul play from their end is being unable to connect to your own website via FTP after the subscription has ended even if you have the credentials prior. They lock you out of your own backend website access!!! Not to mention the double charge even though it was refunded why did it have to happen? Anyway conclusion: WORST WEBSITE HOSTING PLATFORM
