I had purchased a domain from GoDaddy and the website plan from Shopify. However, due to confusion provided on Godaddy's website I had purchased a website plan from Godaddy. Using Godaddy's website plan didn't allow me to use shopify's website plan, therefore I had requested a refund after explaining the details to Godaddy's agent. He informed me that my order would be refunded in 7 to 10 business days. At the moment, if he would've let me know it was not allowed due of the policy that since I had requested for a refund after 72 hours from purchasing the plan, I definitely would have understand and therefore would have used the plan features and learn from it for the one month. Interestingly, Godaddy never gave me a reply so I had to contact them again. I contacted Godaddy several times after 13 days, 15, 20, 30, and 40 days... leading to my frustruation probably to go forever. on the 40th day after I had requested for my refund I was finally told that my refund wasn't allowed since I had requested it after 72 hours from purchasing the order. WOW. Then after I was informed that it wasn't allowed and after long conversation, the agent informed me to wait 24-48 hours. I waited and the next day received a reply telling me that it wasn't allowed due to the policy... I had informed Godaddy's agent that I would only accept the refund and no other benefits including additional time of the plan I had purchased. But it seems that Godaddy had enlongated the plan for an additional of one month. Well, during the time I was waiting for the refund I had haulted my acitivity on the e-commerce section and this is not necessary and is not adaptable to my current time. The system needs to change, or the agents, and ensure that proper communication is given to the customers who had bought Godaddy's products out of trust and the reputation it has, which would be perceived that the company would be logical and ethical. Providing a confirmation to the customer that he/she would be receiving his refund without proper knowledge is basically a lie in the customer's perspective. Giving the customer a time frame when he/she is going to receive a feedback and the customer isn't reached upon inside the time frame several times (+5 time), and having the customer have to mention to the agent again and again ongoing security check and details,, is not really giving respect to someone who had bought the company's products. Replying after over a month to the customer who had in the beginning been confirmed regarding the approval of the refund in less than 10 days and who had several times contacted the agent and was told to wait, that refund is not possible is definitely not something you can expect someone to be entirely patient about. This is Godaddy. The people, the agent, the system is what the company represents. If all goes well, well ook. But if you have trouble and want help from Godaddy, be mindful that it won't be smooth. Do not trust the positive reviews too much. Go with the 1~4 star reviews and see the facts.

Fast and walked me though to resolve my problem

I switched to godaddy for my website hosting to save $50.00 several months back. I called godaddy today to inform them my website was hacked and found out it has a virus. Godaddy stated that they can remedy this issue for around $230.00 as this is a security issue not included with webhosting. As a result, I will simply let all my services with godaddy expire and move my business elsewhere. Simply sick of all these hidden add ons that I had thought were standard and included with hosting.

I woke up this morning, and I finally had enough with my email accounts. I called GoDaddy and spoke with a young lady although I had a very difficult time understanding her. I think between the two of us really messed things up. I called back later in the evening and got very lucky. John answered the phone and through several steps we were able to get everything back up and running!
