Every year is the same story, they lure you into Black Friday prices, you spend hundreds of dollars in other services and upgrades throughout the year, then renew period comes... you ask "why cant I get the black friday price again?" the chat answers "well you have to get a new service and migrate"... that's their solution... well since I have to migrate it anyway, I may as well migrate the whole thing out of Hostgator for a better service and price... so be aware...

I had high hopes for Hostgator, but my experience was disappointing. The uptime was inconsistent, and my website experienced frequent slowdowns and downtime. Customer support was unhelpful and took too long to respond, often providing generic solutions that didn't resolve the issues. While their prices are low, the service quality just doesn't match up. If you're looking for reliable hosting, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I discovered that my domain had been suspended without prior notice or warning, citing "suspicious activity" as the reason.Hostgator has engaged in fraudulent and unethical practices by suspending my domain without any justifiable cause. A complaint to ICANN will be filed as well about their shady practices and to BBB as well.

They basically stole $30 from me with an auto renew I didn't sign up for. Highly disappointed with Hostgator and how they handled this situation and will not renew my 4 year subscription now

the worse service i seen in these 11 years. I requested to they add my Wordpress website to hpanel ( cause it not detected ) and guess what happened :- The crashed my website 4 times, the change the PHP version and they don't know even what they did and they write to me your website has some issue !!!!asked senior agent, after 3 days waiting this guy did same and crashed website again. i want ask the refund and they didn't listen to me too

The beginning of my hosting on this platform went well. I was a salesperson looking for a website building platform for beginners to help me advertise my services. Other than the same overused AI everyone now has, I had no major issues at first. I originally registered my domain under my previous company email which I no longer have access to. I saved my password on my company computer which I turned in. This is not the company's fault, but they have been terrible in helping me recover my account. Before contacting their support email, I went through the "Can't Access Your Account?" button and filled out the form. I had to submit many requests and wait hours up to the next day later to receive the form. I filled out the request to regain access to my account and it was later denied, I believe because I did not submit the right screenshot from my bank statement. This is understandable. I submitted the same form but was not receiving the form to fill out again. At this point, I contact their customer support email to get some assistance. In my initial email, I clearly explain the situation. She sends me the steps to fill out the form i previously mentioned. I continue to send so many requests over the course of an hour that the screen times out due to the volume of requests. I send them another email explaining I am not receiving the follow-up email with the form and I am told it is because the email I entered is already in use. They were in fact correct as that email is in use by me when I submitted the first request. I gave them a second email and I had the same issue. I was told that I could "...perhaps provide the correct details in the form please?" The form has two parts: the email associated with your account and the new email. I don't know what the so-called correct details are here.After a few more emails where I have to repeat information because they only read my most recent email and don't refer back to any of the multiple emails I sent with all the relevant information, I am sent a second form. This was sent a week ago from today, and filled out the same day and I had not received a response, so I sent their support another email. While I received a fast reply, all they did was resend the second form where I will likely be ignored. Overall, their customer support does respond quickly but their responses are not helpful and I have to repeat myself multiple times from emails sent 5-10 minutes ago. I was sent pre-scripted AI emails with links to forms I don't hear back from. I had limited issues with the service itself, just with their incompetent customer service team. To Hostgator Support: You respond to all negative reviews on this platform so when you read this, please give me access to my account. I have already sent all needed information at least once, if not multiple times.

please dont consider using their malwayre scanner. They wont be done within 24 hours, you dont be a priorty, they wont give you a summary or results and its non refundable. Was suspicious of how helpful it really would be, it wasn't.

Avoid buying domains from them. After a few minutes of their unauthorized charge, I contacted them, and they told me it was non-refundable. Is this a reasonable policy? At first, they showed you it was $10, but then charged you $17 and more without your consent. (They call it auto-renewal.) I'm going to charge back the payment and stop doing business with them.

This company is horrible by far the worst hosting provider out there, the support NEVER fix the problem at hand if I could provide an lower score for them I would they are truly terrible, never assist with issues, nor do the support actually know how to fix problems, they leave you with a broken site because there support dont know how to fix there DNS issues and try point the finger us us the customer its an absolute bloody disgrace I would NEVER recommend this company
