another 1 star service for them! My mails stopped working all of sudden, I contacted the customer support, waited for like 30 mins for them to reach back to me, the support told me that the issue is because I need to enable third party from titan mail, I fixed that and now it was time to test the mail and guess what? my site when down! What a joke. Its been more than 30 mins again, my site is continously down and there is no support to help me, waiting for now hosting support team to contact me to first fix my site issue and then i will be able to check if I my mails are working or not.what a bad customer support and hosting. Also they dont care about customers or bad review, if you are reading this review, please dont buy this hosting.

I'm having trouble, I want to ask about the problem. There is no link to go to the ticket area, there is no create a ticket link under or above all the help documents.There is an artificial intelligence in live support, even if you beg it and act like a god, it never, ever transfers you to live support. I'm having trouble! Do I have to beg you to talk to customer help? There is no send ticket button, there is no access to live support. How will I deal with my problems? I'm sick inside and out, artificial intelligence!

DO NOT REGISTER YOUR DOMAIN WITH THEM. They have INSANE renewal fees. They 10x the price of renewal even on a site that received zero traffic, literally just because they can.

Unfortunately, once again, Hostgator has lost our online store's data. They are experiencing a failure and restoring data from the previous day. They have no real-time backup or secondary data center to switch over safely; instead, they simply cut out your store's data, which you lose irretrievably for the entire day. They don’t take it seriously at all, so avoid this company if you’re considering setting up an online store – I strongly advise against it. In five months, we've lost a full day of sales data twice, despite their assurances that this wouldn’t happen again. Sadly, Hostgator has no understanding of securing data for online stores, so I strongly discourage using their services.Two days have passed (5-11-2024), and aside from informing us that they are 'looking into the issue,' Hostgator has done nothing. We've lost a full day's worth of data and are still trying to locate and match customer orders, while Hostgator offers no assistance—absolutely zero help. Unfortunately, this is the same company that did exactly this to us back in June, and they’re doing it again. The company assured us in June that such a situation would never happen again, but they simply lied to us. Their '99.99% uptime' claim is a sham—not only are there regular outages, but they have also lost our data twice this year. I would not recommend them for professional use if you want to avoid losing critical data.

Although, I really much rather prefer voice communication because in part my eyes don't see that well now. So, doing chat is difficult as it is. But to chat on my mobile device just makes it even that much worse!However, aside from no phone support & the fact I had my renewal charged earlier then I had originally expected. My overall experience otherwise with customer support was good since there was an option for me to chat with a real live person who knew good English! They were patient answering my many questions.

This is clearly a scam group. My payment order number H_15094413 is for a domain service that I haven’t used in a year. The renewal of the domain does not require customer consent; they only send a notification email as a formality. After that, if the domain is not used, they do not issue refunds, and I can't even delete the payment information I’ve entered. Everyone should be wary of this scam website.

My time at Hostgator was great, their prices aren't bad, and they allow a decent amount of customization. When I finally grew my service enough to switch to another hosting provider, they make it very difficult to switch. Theres no way to approve domain transfers ahead of time, they don't allow you to export DNS records, & hide settings that are avalible from other providers.

I'm guessing the high score here comes from endorsed and/or fake reviews. The hosting is complete garbage, one of the worst I have used, with customer support that is going to do everything except give the refund for the low quality of service provided. I had my websites down for 15-30 minutes every 3-4 months. 99.9% uptime - maybe in their dreams. One time they changed my server (& IP) without notifying me - causing major issue with Cloudflare. Simply pure nonsense. Disastrous experience.

Terrible Experience with Hostgator: Unlawful Domain Suspension and Transfer BlockI’ve had a nightmarish experience with Hostgator that I feel compelled to share to warn others. Hostgator suspended four of my domains without warning or valid reason, severely impacting my business. When I reached out for clarification and a solution, they refused to reinstate the domains or allow me to transfer them to another provider. This is completely unacceptable and likely illegal.Key Issues:No Justification for SuspensionHostgator suspended my domains without any clear reasoning. I contacted their support multiple times, but they provided no concrete explanation. This lack of transparency is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.Refusal to Allow Domain TransferEven worse, they refused to let me transfer my domains to another provider. According to ICANN regulations, domain owners have the right to transfer their domains freely, as long as certain conditions are met. Hostgator’s actions here are not only unethical but likely in violation of ICANN policies.Potential GDPR ViolationBy refusing to allow me control over my data associated with these domains, Hostgator might be violating GDPR’s data portability rights. It seems they are obstructing my rights to manage and transfer my data as an EU customer.Final Thoughts:I am now in the process of filing complaints with ICANN and GDPR authorities. Hostgator’s actions are a clear warning sign for anyone considering them as a domain or hosting provider. If you value your domains and business, avoid Hostgator at all costs. Their service is untrustworthy, and they fail to respect basic customer rights.

Protect your wallet with ho.stinger.I had a few websites with their plan and was renewing one of my domain names for a year. ONE YEAR. But their system somehow changed it to 3 years and I got stuck with the bill. I tried contacting their support, which by the way, every time there's an issue with any of my websites, their solution is to upgrade.Well they said that "we're sorry but no refunds" and their solution was "you can resell your domain name".It's their lost, as I'm moving everything as it expires to another hosting company.Bad service.

I had a very disappointing experience with Hostgator for Magento hosting. I purchased their hosting twice, but it didn't work properly. My website wouldn’t load after migration, and their support team offered no real assistance. When I reached out to support, it was a terrible experience—they struggled to understand the issues and kept trying to convince me they could help but ultimately failed to resolve anything. This company provides hosting for websites. I contacted 'Hostgator-France' but it's like I contacted a team from North Africa. Every single person from the 'support' (each time another one) answers with some friendly standardized messages, suggesting some articles of the website to help the customer. There is the limit of their help....After more than 6 weeks, my Wordpress blog, created at the end of 2003, is still not online AND moreover, I can't connect with my site. In other words, if the support team certainly is kind and polite, they seem to be unable to HELP an IT non-expert...
