I signed up to Namecheap to bid on expired domains, but it was not allowing my bid. After contacting custom support, it turns out I need to pay an annual fee to be able to bid on domains. What a pathetic way of making more money from their customers.

Customer service was phenomenal and helped me transfer my domain over quickly and guided me through step by step.

The agent, Nirali was outstanding. Very important was that I did understand her mild accent, she was very very cooperative, not dismissive at all and solved a very complex DNS issue dealing with verification on a 3rd party site. Super person and very professional.

While Namecheap has very good customer support and web hosting, they tend to fall flat when a customer needs some help with using their platforms offered, but are not Namecheap products.
