Big Rock is a scam.I bought their product for four years because of the reduced price. For one month it worked well.Then the memory usage atarted going up inexplicably and all their customer services did was to push an upsell, which I eventually got and did not resolve the issue.Their customer service is beyond insulting. It’s exclusively online. First you talk to an annoying AI. After asking about six times they put you through to human, which is just as bad if not worse than the AI. All they do is copy and paste ready-made, generic, instructions, and make you wait long periods of time.To top it all up they now refuse to talk to my web developer. They say they will only talk to the account holder. That’s me, but obviously I’m not the technical person, and therefore not the one to be having this conversation.They are extremely incompetent and plain dishonest.As a result, I have only used a four-year produce for six extremely bumpy months, and I’m migrating to a different hosting company.I am filing a civil claim in case they are not prepared to return my money

Big Rock provides decent VPS hosting at a pretty good value ... *if* you get their promotional 1- or 2-year pricing. I initially signed up for a monthly contract to try out the service before committing to an annual plan. I was hoping that if I converted it to an annual plan, they would give me the ~60% discount they advertise quite boldly, if I asked for it. In my experience, that is something almost any subscription-based service will do. However I was informed that no, that pricing is *only* for new services, and that I would have to go through the hassle of spinning up a new server, transferring everything, and deleting the old one to get it. So since I was going to have to do that to get a sustainable price anyway (because their undiscounted, monthly rate is *not* such a great value), I informed customer service that I intended to look for another hosting provider. They literally said "good luck". I had already paid them for 3 months of service, amounting to more than 60% of the introductory price of an annual subscription. I wasn't asking for a credit, I was looking to expand my business with them.It would have been trivial for Big Rock to grant me the discount without forcing me to provision a new server. I took their refusal to do so as an indication that they didn't really value my business. So take note, the introductory promotional pricing looks good, but your bill will *almost triple* once that promotional period ends. The service is good and worth the intro price for the 2-year contract, but you had better sign up for it from the start. After your intro period is up, you'll have to wash, rinse, and repeat if you want to keep that pricing (and no, you can't just download an image of your VPS and redeploy it). If you start with a monthly plan, you're S.O.L.Introductory pricing is a marketing gimmick, and I'd rather spend my money somewhere that wants to keep my business enough to extend a common courtesy.

Human touch is so much better than a chatbot. I always prefer to communicate with humans. Always! The chatbot was giving false responses and causing frustration. I was hopeless - I was thinking that my e-mail messages were lost. Thanks to Big Rock that you have kept humans and not given everything to the hands of chatbots.
