I paid for two years and which was roughly 236 dollars and I had some one else do the site. Of course they took their time. I found the site to be hard to maneuver, if I accidentally deleted something I couldn't go and fix it cause I didn't have the knowledge. I stayed in nov til Jan and they gave me 67 dollars back , be care don't do long term subscriptions cause you won't get anything back.

Honestly I was happy at pricing, but now I know why price was so reduced. We have Web Development company and Hostgator sucks. Support is totaly useless, they have AI system which respond to you and its very bad. When you talk to support they dont know when they will resolve issue. Usually I dont make reviews but I am so pissed off. We have register domain for client, and we used new card for it and system blocked domain and did a refund which will come in 7-12 days! What the... We just wanted to register domain and thats it. If this is for safety let me also point out that their anti malware system also sucks. Suck an negative experience with domains. Probably that mistake will cost us 400 USD because we have penalties. I wanted to register domain name again and I cannot. Really bad bad bad. We will move to another hosting, where support is ok, where you are notified before they do something. After few days issue is still the same. I had to pay penalty to my client. I cannot register domain anywhere, no update from them with resolution. ** Update** after 48 Hours they deducted from my Card 6.49 EUR and not as domain was discounted 3.49 EUR. Company already costed me a lot of money for penalty now, they deducted more from my account what was promoted.

They outsource website migration to artificial intelligence. That's why my websites keep giving errors. If you don't want to be neurotic, stay away from Hostgator.com

I am extremely disappointed with Hostgator's services. My experience with their platform has been nothing short of frustrating and unfair.On January 18, 2025, I received an email stating that my website allegedly contained copyright-infringing content. The email warned me to remove the content within three days, or my site would be suspended. Unfortunately, I did not see this email in time, and on January 22, 2025, I received another email informing me that my site had been suspended due to a DMCA policy violation.After contacting customer support, I was able to get my website reactivated. However, on February 11, 2025, my website was suspended again—this time without any prior warning.When I reached out to customer support to clarify the situation, I was told that my site had been suspended for the third time and could not be reactivated. This claim is completely incorrect—my website had only been suspended twice. It is clear that my case was not properly reviewed before this decision was made.Adding to the frustration, I am now unable to delete my website from the hosting panel, leaving me stuck with a service that I can no longer trust.Hostgator's policies are opaque, and their suspension process feels arbitrary and unfair. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I will transfer all my domains to another registrar.This is my warning to anyone considering their services: If your website gets suspended—even once or twice—you may never get the chance to restore it. Hostgator’s lack of transparency and fairness makes it a risky choice.

I am writing this review to make overs wear, I purchase a hosting and domain with Hostgator three months ago only last week i check my website and it was down Hostgator had suspended my domain they want to document to prove the legitimacy of my website, I am unable to provide this and i requested a full refund they have refused to refund my payment because it has expiered the 30-day money back .If i don't receive a full refund i will raise a chargeback with my bank !Are you going to refund my domain & hosting or do i need to raise a dispute with my bank ?

I renewed my domain with Hostgator, and the payment was immediately charged to my card. However, your system still shows it as unpaid, and my service has not been renewed.What kind of nonsense is this? You take my money but provide nothing in return!My bank has confirmed that the payment was successfully processed to Hostgator.Hostgator even sent me a receipt and confirmation email for the transaction.Yet, your customer service is an absolute disaster! They keep giving the same generic responses, completely incapable of actually solving anything!This is blatant customer exploitation! Taking people’s money and not delivering the service—what kind of business practice is this? If this is a mistake, why are you being so careless? If this is intentional, then it’s outright fraud!If you don’t IMMEDIATELY fix this, I will escalate this issue everywhere. I will also take legal action to get my money back. Hostgator is acting like a company that has zero reliability and absolutely no respect for its customers.Either provide the service I paid for or refund my money! Otherwise, I’m ready to take this matter even further.

We chose Hostgator based on its high ratings, so we decided to migrate a few accounts. However, we quickly ran into issues. After migrating, we couldn’t access the Hostgator account because they don’t set up email automatically with a temporary password, unlike our previous providers. This left us without email for 48 hours. As for their 24/7 support? Useless, with a chatbox that wasn’t much help.Once we regained access, we encountered another problem: we couldn’t send emails from our iPhones. It turns out we needed to configure MX records—something we had never dealt with before. Now, three days later, we still can't send or reply to emails, which has left us unable to communicate with our customers. Clearly, we’ll be canceling our account and moving elsewhere.

I have 5 different web sites. I started one with Hostgator several years ago and would never deal with them again. As soon as I started to work on the site, I immediately created another site on another hosting platform. These people make it much too hard and frustrating to do simple things like recover a password. I can only imagine doing complicated things with them.

Bad, when hosting a laravel application, when running commands are not accepted. Asking to change the php version even though it is the correct version. No minimum autonomy for hosting. Values ??above the average do not comprise the 10-year plan. Bad experience, I'm even migrating to another host where paying for a server is more affordable, I have full control and the resources are better.They responded without the right to reply, and I had to explain everything to a new agent. The support is already bad. Not to mention that I followed as informed, when I did a simple "npm run build, npm run dev" it returns "npm: command not found" and I need npm to put my laravel application online. They're really bad.

Hostgator is not in the business of selling hosting, no it is in the business of selling lies, and lies, and lies, and lies, and more lies etc...From the first day of use there were problems, mostly created by internal choice of Hostgator, and it has been a headache to get anything to work ever since.Instead of customer support to provide an AI bot that is way too dumb to even deserve the I... but when you finally get transferred to a human it usually does not solve anything either.If you can use a different computer, move to a different country, switch internet providers, all they do is place the problem, that is created by Hostgator, outside of themselves and ending conversations with:"Let me know if you need anything else about the hosting itself."So you're left alone to solve a problem that Hostgator created and only Hostgator can solve, but they simply refuse to do anything... after their customer support refusal they start ignoring you...Long story short, Hostgator is A SCAM. DO NOT PAY THEM ANY MONEY since you will not get what you paid for.Update: This kind of responses is exactly why they’re selling a scam. Hostgator chooses to block almost all Surfshark VPN ip’s, refuses to solve anything or be honest and then come up with some b*llshit story so they won’t have to take responsibility for their choices.
