I have never been this frustrated with a hosting provider in my life. Hostgator just suspended my entire hosting account because of a domain that isn’t even pointed to their servers and isn’t even owned by me anymore!Here’s what happened: When I originally bought my hosting plan, I listed a domain (thestylesavvy.com) that was in my control at the time. Later, that domain expired, and someone else purchased it. I had completely forgotten about it, and since it was not hosted on Hostgator, I never removed it from my hosting account.Now, out of nowhere, Hostgator suspended my entire hosting plan because their system flagged that domain for phishing—even though it’s hosted elsewhere! How does it make any sense to suspend my whole account for a domain that is no longer mine and isn’t even using their servers?To make matters worse, their customer support is useless. Instead of fixing this obvious mistake, they told me they need 5 business days to “investigate” the issue. Investigate what exactly? The domain is publicly visible, and anyone can see that it’s not pointed to Hostgator. It should take 5 minutes, not 5 days, to confirm this.This is beyond ridiculous. I have urgent business websites hosted with them, and because of their poor policies and lack of common sense, my entire hosting account is suspended, affecting my live websites. I even suggested the most logical solution—simply remove the flagged domain from my account and unsuspend my hosting—but they refuse to act quickly.I regret ever choosing Hostgator, and I’ll never use their services again. If you care about your business, stay far away from them. Their system is broken, their policies make no sense, and their customer support is the worst I’ve ever dealt with.Hostgator, fix this now!

What a strange company. To save money on traffic, they block users who have a VPN (which is *many* people like over 20% of people!), or specifically sometimes VPN users get really nasty multi-step captchas that take forever (7 rounds of "click the traffic light" anyone?) or they even don't show anything, making it look like your website is broken. Support first lied to me and said that's impossible, and after wasting time to prove it to them, they said nothing can be done.Ready to lose 20% of your visitors (except for those really persistant ones)?? I renewed because I'm selling this website and can't be bothered. When renewing 3 weeks before the end of my current contract, they started the new period on the day of renewal, not at the end of the first period, i.e. they stole 3 weeks of membership from me.Support is again like "too bad for you".

the worst provider i ever seen if i purchase the domain that will suspend with in two days even i didn't host the website or not pointed to other servers but my domains are suspended. worst customer support if i get a ticket and ask them to give me the exact reason and logs they reply after one day what if i have a more than 10 clients and if any problem happen how can i manage the client? best to move another provider

Associate was knowledgeable and courteous, and pointed me to the help I needed.My only complaint was in the time it took between communications. That seemed like it could have been shorter. I also had to wait quite a while when I had one associate hand me off to another. I'm guessing this probably was due to associates helping multiple users at once.

Hi, I hope you're doing well. Recently, my account was suspended, including over 25 domain names and a hosting plan. After thoroughly reviewing Hostgator's legal policies regarding phishing and hacking, I understand that the company is only entitled to cancel individual domains involved in such activities, not the entire account. Given this, the suspension of my entire account seems both unjust and unfair. I'm reaching out for a resolution as this action doesn't align with the stated policies. image.pngIt is mentioned here that the domain name will be suspended only, but in my case, the whole account is suspended with over 25 domains which is again just unfair with me.Secondly, I was using the paid version of the myFriv theme, which is designed specifically for gaming websites. This theme can be verified on your servers, and the domain names involved were all running this theme. The website only offered online games for users to play; there were no downloads or payment transactions involved. The theme was purchased from myarcadeplugin.com, which you can verify as well.It’s possible that the theme worked perfectly until my account was suspended, and after that, the creator of the theme may have added something that caused the issue. In such a case, Hostgator should be protecting me, as per your policies. If there were any hacking or phishing activities, the domains directly involved should have been temporarily suspended, but instead, my entire account was suspended, which is only justified if I were engaging in fraudulent activity with Hostgator itself.As a paying customer, I should not be penalized for domains that I’ve legally purchased and are functioning properly, especially when they are not directly involved in phishing or hacking activities. The responsibility for this issue lies with the theme creator, and I am the victim of a scam originating from them. Hostgator should be helping me resolve this situation instead of suspending my entire account. image.pngIf you believe that I, personally, was involved in fraudulent or phishing activities, I assure you that I was not. In that case, I would expect you to provide me with specific details or evidence of where I went wrong or how I was involved, which has not been provided. This lack of transparency is concerning and goes against European and U.S. data privacy and abuse laws, which require companies to offer clear evidence and allow users to defend themselves.The absence of any such evidence only further confirms that the suspension was unjustified, and I am requesting that this issue be addressed accordingly.image.pngI left my university to focus on building my online business, and now everything I’ve worked for has been destroyed. I am very tired of Hostgator. Every time I want to buy a domain, my payments all fail. I contacted their support, but they wasted 1.5 hours of mine and then ignored me completely. terrible customer service. I will not reniew my subscription. Yes, I was able to buy some domains after spending 2h, but after every payment, I had to try again and again for the next payment, and this problem still persists.

So if you can talk to a person, the customer service is great. However since the kodee bot has been brought in the experience has become awful and long winded. I have only had terrible experiences with their help bot. This is the second time I have needed help for a complex situation and I have had to waste around 15 minutes each time trying to get past the bot to speak to a human. The bot just kept repeating the wrong answer to my question, totally missing the point and would not send me forward to a human. This has happened twice now. I have used Hostgator for around 10 years to host many sites and domains. I am now looking to move to a service where I don't waste time arguing with an undertrained bot.

this is honest review , useless customer support by Hostgator , they are active but will reply after 15-20 mins and they are not proffessional , and never buy business mail from Hostgator , they will suspand your mail business without any reason , system false detecting , dont recommended to use any service from Hostgator

I've used their service for about a year, and it has been far from smooth sailing. At first, I thought the issues were on my end—maybe I wasn’t setting things up correctly, or perhaps my websites were too heavy. However, even with properly configured caching plugins, performance remained poor. Anything beyond simple static pages was nearly impossible to host on their shared hosting plan.The limitations only became clear when I finally decided to go through the trouble of switching. I set up my own VPS for just a couple of pounds more than what I was paying at Hostgator, and the difference was night and day. Yes, a VPS requires more hands-on configuration, but it’s far better than dealing with a service that simply doesn’t work for my needs.My recommendation? If you're considering shared hosting—don’t bother. It’s just not worth it.

Initially, your team suspended our hosting services without any prior notification. Subsequently, you requested our company documents, which we promptly provided. However, without conducting a thorough review, your team denied the reinstatement of our hosting package. This approach to service provision is unacceptable. If additional company documents are required, it is imperative that you communicate this to us. Instead, we received a notification stating that you would neither unsuspend our hosting nor provide backups, without any justification. We are currently experiencing significant distress from several clients due to their websites being down for the past five days. It is essential that you offer a viable solution to this issue. You must either reinstate our hosting or supply a backup, as we have fulfilled our payment obligations for your services.

I paid 959.75 usd for 2 years of fee for Cpanel services, I used it for few hours then I decided not to use it but seller is saying he will not refund .. Seller is trying to deceive us, Sellers refund policy is vague, Seller did not mention at all that Cpanel services fees are not refund during checkout process. Its not even mentioned in its refund policy. At the checkout there was not any option to select lesser date, I was given only one option to buy 2 years .. If I do not like then they will keep money for whole 2 years. This is Deceiving. Seller said that they paid the money to Cpanel.com but Cpanel.com has 72 hour refund policy no question asked refund policy. Very disappointed.
