Hostgator are hosting provider for bitmainutratrades , a known crypto investment scamming site. I have been a victim of their scams and I reported to Hostgator. They have not been very forthcoming with assisting me. Sending me off to Action fraud/Police to work with. Hostgator you know exactly what is going on and you are enabling these scammers by providing them a suitable platform to steal from hard working people. You should be shut down and fined for providing such services. My emails are responded to in such a rude manner also. Yes the relevant authorities are after you.Added today - Hostgator you are the enabler and so far you have done nothing to assist in finding the perpetrators. I send a valid legitimate interest letter for you to provide me with the relevant information / dat about the scammers and you have refused.So yet you are part of the scam as you are hosting, providing them with a platform allowing them to steal from others. Yes the law enforcement are involved and we they will get to the bottom of this. You are all part of this scamming game. You will not get away with this.

I had purchased a domain from Hostgator last year and yesterday its subscription was deducted from my account because of auto renewal and now i have reached the Hostgator support regarding the refund and domain cancellation at first they thought i was some new person and they tried to fool me that "once a domain is registered, it cannot be refunded due to the policies in place. You might consider letting the domain expire or transferring it to someone else who might find it useful. I’ve had an awful experience with Hostgator, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Their services are just not serious. Even with a 48 months subscription, my website was constantly down, and the loading speeds were painfully slow. It felt like they weren’t even trying to provide a decent service.The customer support was one of the worst parts. I had to wait forever for responses, and when they finally replied, the answers were generic and didn’t actually help. It’s like they don’t care about their customers at all.On top of that, their pricing is super misleading. They lure you in with cheap initial rates, but the renewal prices are ridiculously high. Canceling your subscription is also a nightmare—they make it unnecessarily complicated, which feels really shady.Save yourself the headache and look for a better hosting provider. I do not like this website hosting service. I asked for a refund but it was outside the refund period. The only reason my website is still online is because I could not work out how to park the domain, and even after speaking to customer service still could not work out how to do it. So it's up there with a template for selling soap, which has nothing to do with what I planned for the original website. To make it into my website would be too arduous - making the site is extremely un-userfriendly. The font of my website just changed on its own halfway down the page, for no reason, I spoke to customer service, I was looking at the code. They could give me no answer. I got the recommendation to use the site from a website creator on Airtasker, who basically recommended it to get the referral money. It's a shit product that makes people money on a referral fee, that's all its got going for it. Wix is way better and easy to use.

Price is excellent and the builder is fairly easy to use if a little clunky.However, once I had finished the site I tried to accelerate it's being found by Google using Google Search Console. The Website builder does not support direct upload of html and there is no way (despite what the AI help says) of copying code into the header which is what Google needs with a HTML tag. You then cannot revert to another editor to continue the site, which is a shame.The AI help tool is really useful though. I wish I'd known I'd have these issues before committing to three websites and an e-mail address for 12 months.Update: Hostgator replied and reached out which was nice, couldn't resolve the problem, did offer other solutions. So the lesson is that using Hostgator Website Builder is a 2* Experience, but using Hostgator in general to host a website, buy domains and create an e-mail account is a 5* experience.
