I'm an historical-fiction author who at age 78 and basically computer illiterate, I need help to develop my website. A close friend who uses Go Daddy and was very happy with it recommended it. I recently contacted customer support regarding getting a Wordpress host I knew nothing about. I was pleasantly surprised by the promptness and professionalism of the response of the representative. Joseph was particularly helpful in helping me to understand about the word press host. He not only addressed my concern but did so in a friendly and efficient manner, which made the entire experience positive. Terrible customer service. Service reps have poor English, improper sentence structure, and communication is often incoherent. They are incapable of understanding requests from customers so they are unable to solve issues.If you want the full story read below:My website was not playing videos on Safari or in iPhone, but would play them fine in a Chrome browser. I was not able to communicate this with the “hosting expert team.” I chatted with 4 different reps and none had what I would consider minimum language skills to service English speakers. I was asked to state what the issue was, I was then told they would look into it. I would then be reconnected to another rep and had to start the whole thing over.I asked to speak to a manager and I was just transferred again to a new representative (not a manager) and had to explain everything again. One customer rep Pritpal said the issue was with my videos being corrupted so I asked if they could upload a test video on their side to test this. They uploaded one and the video did not work on safari but it did in chrome. When I explained this they said the issue is with my video and not with the server. I asked why did their video fail to play in safari as well? They asked me if i could play in chrome. I said yes, and I was replied with:“ Then, what else you are looking for?”I asked for this to be escalated to a manager and I was transferred to another new rep (not a manager again) and was asked to explain the whole thing all over again.
