I feel misled and pressured – Namecheap failed to honour previous renewal assurancesTwo of my domains were recently auto-renewed by Namecheap, one at £402.91 and another at £22.79. Shocked by the high cost, I contacted Namecheap, especially as I had been advised during a prior conversation (nearly a year ago) to get in touch closer to renewal to secure a rate similar to my initial sign-up. I was told notes would be left on my account to reflect this.On 7 May 2025, I spoke with a representative who confirmed my renewal wasn't due until 5 June 2025—a full month away. Despite this, I was told they couldn't honour my original price but could offer £201 to renew both domains. I insisted this was not in line with the previous assurance, and the rep then said no notes could be found and that Namecheap does not offer renewal at original rates. This was contradictory and deeply frustrating.I expressed my wish to transfer my domains elsewhere, only to be told I'd lose my website if I did. I was pressured to confirm cancellation, but I said I first wanted to arrange alternative hosting—exactly what I did when I originally joined Namecheap. At this point, I was offered a further reduced rate of £154 per year, but only if I migrated the sites myself—something the rep warned could "go badly wrong."The entire conversation dragged on for over an hour, well past midnight. I was left waiting for long stretches between responses, and due to multiple handovers between different agents, I had to repeat myself several times. Exhausted and demoralised, I gave up.On 9 May, I followed up with a phone call, explaining everything to another representative and asking her to refer to the previous chat logs. Instead, she insisted I provide screenshots as proof of the earlier offers. She initially quoted me over £1000 for 5 years, which I immediately declined, as the £402 already taken had significantly impacted my finances. She then offered £600 for 3 years—again, far removed from the £154 offer made days earlier. She refused to acknowledge any of the previous offers or context and was dismissive of my concerns.Eventually, she offered a 2-year renewal for £402.72, with additional charges of £80.54, totalling £483.26. She also implied my previous term had expired on 6 May, contradicting what her colleague had stated just days earlier—that my renewal was due on 5 June.I ultimately felt pressured into renewing out of fear of losing my website, rather than from a place of confidence or satisfaction with the service. The process was chaotic, lacking transparency, and frankly, left me feeling misled, manipulated, and taken advantage of.I will not be renewing again with Namecheap. Their customer service practices, inconsistent pricing, and failure to honour previous commitments have destroyed my trust.

I got charged for a domains and email renewal that I thought I had cancelled, unfortunately I didn’t do it as effectively as I thought and was charged and it was a frustrating. But after I called go daddy’s customer support the agent Rose was not only about reissue my refund but convinced me to keep my now popular domain name and how to resell it whenever I decide I no longer want it. She was pleasant, professional and not pushy and I enjoyed that experience.

I'm in Australia and paid for domain and was charged in Australian dollars. Then I called their number on the same day to add a hosting plan and the operator charged me Singaporean currency, while telling me "I'm going to charge AUD$4** now", and "I'm going to credit you "AUD$4** now." Then she said after she charged me, "i just noticed you have set your default currency to Singaporean dollar". But i have not yet signed into the the account, so she was the first person to sign in the account, so SHE had set it to Singapore dollars (but of course, Namecheap lady blames it on me, showing no grace, no sense of dignity, sense of responsibility or professionalism). Then proceeded to tell me I got charged merchant fees. As Singapore dollars is stronger, I got charged AUD$70 for my package. And I noticed they refunded me less than what I paid for. Then she asked her manager on what to do, came back and said "we can charge you first (which debit will occur immediately)then refund you (so i will get my money back in 10 days). I asked her to correct her mistake and refund me the money. To this day I'm still waiting for my money to be returned. I was refunded less money and charged more. Namecheap is becoming a rather dodgy business.

Namecheap is by far the worst website provider I have ever used. Their whole business model is based on collecting personal information of not only you but your customers as well to use it for spam. They force you to make your customers enter their email address on the customer forms submission on your website and you can't remove it. They also randomly hold your payments from customers hostage until you provide them with all your customers personal information and your personal banking information. They then use that information to spam you and your customers as well as give your banking information to loan companies and other related companies to spam the hell out of you. They cause major disruptions in your business by holding your customers payments hostage. I am currently in talks with an attorney looking into filing a multi-million dollar lawsuit against Namecheap. Do not use this company.

Their customer service is always so helpful and attentive. They have always demonstrated that they care about your issue and helping to resolve it. I have even experienced them apologize for other companies' failures of customer service that have impacted me.

I've got multiple products with Go Daddy and have been a customer for a long time. I set up a new website with AI and it is very limited in terms of functionality and uses prehistoric templates, for example on their newsletter sign up form it has shares buttons for Google+ and Twitter that don't exist anymore and nobody has updated the back end. You can't do simple things like change the text on add to cart button to say book now instead of buy now or check out on a third party site. The customer service is the worst with none of them having awareness of people living outside of the US and therefore it's not a freephone number. It's mostly an infuriating bot and the staff can't handle technical or complicated questions and just copy and paste answers you already know. I have asked for a refund for the monthly hosting on my website ukyogaretreats.com. It is supposed to have been passed to the specialists who will contact me with a form completed to get an exception of refunds after the 30 day policy, yet nobody has got in touch and when I contact again on chat they can't access past chats and continue to copy and paste their refund policy as an answer. To update - got an email from Zakah Hussain who clearly did not read this review properly. It was AGREED by the person I spent 8 hours chatting with to refund ALL the monthly payments and they filled in an exception form for this (not just the first month). I wrote this review in the first place as I still haven't received all these refunds as agreed.

Jonah the took my call was very thorough, carefully listened to me and my concerns and addressed them all. I moved a website to my husband's account, I canceled several websites I won't be using. Some of them had old emails and he helped me change the emails so I can delete them. He filed for a refund and submitted paperwork a prior agent had not submitted. We were on for over 90 minutes. The best CS agent ever!

I had an issue with getting into my Microsoft Outlook email that I set up through Go Dadd via my desktop computer. I could still access that email on my phone. I got weird messages that asked me to enter codes, etc. but never could get into that email. I called Go Daddy and the problem was fixed in seconds (yes, seconds not minutes). I could not be happier.

This was my first experience with Go Daddy. Gilliam helped me with the domain registration and account set up process. I was very impressed with her expert knowledge and professionalism. Her service was excellent. I'm very satisfied as a result.
