Speaking with Shabir!Shabir provided excellent guidance in helping me choose the best tier for my small business. I really appreciated speaking with someone knowledgeable about Namecheap's website and marketing services. The information he shared has given me a strong foundation for building an online presence for my Pilates studio.

So I was sold too many products with my first interaction with Namecheap. I called back and wanted a full refund . After dealing with what I call “ textbook, non human , reading from a script “ salespeople ( I won’t mention names ) I was completely fed up with Namecheap . Until….. my prayers were answered by Troy. Empathy, compassion , all the things that make a customer feel warm and fuzzy and not just a statistic for them hitting their commission quota . Troy helped me tremendously. I was ready to give up on Namecheap. He changed my thinking. He was light, humorous , and knowledgeable. Namecheap needs to stress to the marketing team , customers need empathy , TLC, call it what you will. We are at the mercy of the person on the other end of the line. You don’t have to have dinner with me, but show me some concern for my well-being. Especially being a novice to websites. Thank you Troy for your being in touch with the human element. One of hope and peace. You are an asset to this company . You need to be recognized . The other two….. may suffer narcissistic personality disorder. I have no patience for this. I wish them well and hope they have better days ahead. And remember , money doesn’t buy happiness.

Based on my experience, my opiinion is that Namecheap team lacks good training and sincere customer service. They wanted me to wait 3 days to fix a broken business email. After a full day of pleading for help, they misled me - told me it was fixed, and then the next morning I find out a ticket wasn’t even submitted. Idon’t think it would ever get fixed. It took me 7 hours of calls to and people misinformed me and told me non truths throughout. Because of this horrible experience, and within an hour of purchase, I decided to cancel two other products. I was told that was fine, but someone would call me to try to convince me to stay. No call. Called twice, they told me to call on Saturday morning to get the refund. Called and they told me they are not opened on Saturday, call on Monday. There is no email, so nice for them, no paper trail. I do not recommend Namecheap for anything - because based on my experience, present and previous, they do not handle problems with integrity and ease. I also can’t stand that there sales team acts as tech team, given my experience, they don’t do it well.

Will never use Namecheap anymore. Although it is cheap but the customer service and the ordering systems are crappy because I'm given multiple account IDs and I've to set up multiple passwords etc etc. I got fed up with this long-winded way of doing things that I wanted a refund. The refund process was tedious and the customer service was arduous, to say the least. In the end, I got one refund out of two service orders due to the tedious, long process. I was kept dealing with the customer service for 3 hours just to get a $20 refund (second refund). In the end, I dropped the attempt because it's not worth it.

I was on hold for almost 3 hours so I decided to use WhatsApp. I have been online another 3 hours and still none thr wiser. You ask a question and they.respknd 30 minutes later. This is their job and they're on payroll amd don't have a clue how to respond to simple questions! I have asked for a refund. It would be nice to actually speak to someone as feel these people will probably reside in India or south east Asia somewhere! Totally wasted almost 6 hours of my precious time I will never ever get back!!!

I'm a 73-year-old woman with "some" knowledge of web-based software. I got stumped as I was building my website. I tried to resolve it myself without success. I phoned the help number provided. Within a short period, the service rep fixed everything.

Possibly the most useless company in the world. I tried six times to renew three domain names before last night I managed to and paid via Paypal. Now I have an email from Namecheap advising that because the card on my Namecheap account expired I cannot renew them - yet one was renewed on the site and I have a receipt from Namecheap saying all three are paid for and renewed. The domains are worth more than US$1,000 and this seems to be an attempt to perform a rights grab and resell the valuable ones, even though the names are my IP and trademarked. This company is completely useless. Avoid and go elsewhere. I have been with them for two years and it was the same story last year. If you try and downgrade protection, you have to work out that you cannot do this in the cart, but have to faff about in manage products and then it takes 24-48 hours to downgrade. Hence the email I received today full of dire warnings about losing my domains. I now have about 12 emails threatening this, despite extensive dialogue online and "chat" - there is something very wrong about this company and the way it operates, in my experience, despite it trumpeting its "award-winning" customer services. So far nil evidence of that. I have paid for my domain renewal at last - but now they have come up with another excuse to take the money and claim I have not renewed. There is a word for this. Go elsewhere unless you like hassle. Update - on chat again and the genius on the other end claims two have not been renewed even though I sent the receipt three times showing I paid through Paypal and one of the three they have actually renewed as a result. These people are either completely inept or finds ways of sucking the money out of you, or selling your IP when it reaches a certain value. Avoid. Update: Now trying to tell me two others need to be renewed when last night all my domains were renewed. Now another two are not renewed. More money, Or completely inept. Or both. Update: Even thought the names I renewed are clearly stated on the invoice I have and receipt, the agent is still insisting I did not renew them, but cannot explain why one was renewed and not the other two - apparently even though I have a receipt, I did not renew them. Just the worst company I have ever dealt with - they will not even believe what is put in front of them.Update: Now my domain renewals - which cost £57 - now cost me £69 for two according to Namecheap's accounts. This company is either unable to do sums - or deliberately upscales invoices and pretends that the customer is wrong. I have the receipt, but the agent refuses to accept it and is going by their records, which appear to be completely different. From the moment I transferred domains to Namecheap and set up new ones, there were issues - inclduing with IP. They immediately started trying to seel me different suffixes when they knew the names were trademarked and you cannot do that. It is illegal. Not n Namecheap's book, however. I am reporting the company to Action Fraud and Paypal - and if you have an issue, I suggest you do, also. Their agents are intentionally unhelpful, it seems - and there also seems to be a loose system of accounting and recording client data.Update - will not accept the receipt and the fact that the system has only updated one renewal and possibly because ti thinks that they should be autorenewed - which does not explain why one was renewed and not the others. If a Namecheap receipt is not worth the digital ink it is printed on, what good are any of their services? They could tell you any old story and it seems in my case they are.Update: After an hour chatting to an agent, I now have another one on the case - and I have sent the Paypal receipt showing clearly what I paid and what was renewed. However, as is Namecheap's habit, even though I removed Full protection, they have re-added it in the cart and charged £69.99 for three renewals that should have cost around £40 - but my invoice came to £57. Yet the final payment taken was £69.99. This company was trouble from the moment I signed up with them - they cary adds on extras and if you do not notice and delete them you end up paying hundreds of pounds. You cannot delete Full Protection in the cart, however. Namecheap just re-adds it and it more than doubles the cost of renewal in some cases. You have to faff about in product manager, as I actually did, But the Full Protection was still re-added in the cart. I cannot advise others strongly enough not to bother with this company. Update: The new supervisor on the case has accepted three domains were renewed - the extra £12 was for "tax" - and Full Protection was re-added in the cart. Making the total £69.99 and not the £57 I was quoted. Utterly, utterly abysmal customer service. If you have domains with Namecheap, I would go elsewhere. I am. Update: Agent now wrong saying I removed protection after renewal.
