the support sucks. anytime there is an issue with my website it takes over a full day with support, being passed around, being on hold and then dealing with one agent after another until you find one who can solve the issue. Usually, there is little hope of resolving the issue in a single day. I have a business to run and I struggle with impersonal, slow and completely unreliable service. I'm looking for a better hosting company.

Namecheap removed hundreds of domains I owned without my approval or knowledge despite having already paid for them. DO NOT EVER USE.

I have used Namecheap to build websites for years and have been completely happy with the website experience and associated support. However, I built a website and made the mistake of using Namecheap Payments to process credit card payments online. BIG MISTAKE! NEVER AGAIN! Everything was fine for a month and then they stopped paying the money that was coming in! Currently they have been holding nearly $10,000 worth of payments for their 'routine account review' and refuse to give us our money unless we provide them with our contract details from Square! They want to know what their competition is charging and they won't give us our money until we tell them. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! I only just learned about all the horror stories on Reddit at r/Namecheap. I wish I'd seen that before using Namecheap Payments.

I have been a loyal customer of Namecheap for years. I have encouraged others to use their website platform and have given them every opportunity to shine. What I have learned, however, is that this is the Namecheap business model: Have extremely friendly and helpful Americans staff the phones for sales and certain tech help, and then send ALL the billing issues overseas.Have an issue with Namecheap not sending you your payments from your online shop?? You'll wait 45 minutes or more to talk to someone in a foreign country who will leave you more confused than help you.Need to download all of your subscribers and customers?? Too bad! You'll wait for the email they say they are sending, then you will call into Namecheap, spend over an hour on the phone with someone who barely speaks English, and still not have your list. Oh, and don't even bother requesting to talk to a manager! They will say they will have one call you back, but they never will. Oh, and if you need the sales tax breakdown for your orders... TOO BAD! They will make you pay for an extra package from an outside company Avalara just so you can file sales tax for your online shop. This is criminal. It seems Namecheap doesn't want their American employees handling the matters of MOST importance (AKA billing and gaining access to your subscribers/clients).Very, very disappointed, frustrated, and unhappy.

was using a broker to purchase a website from an existing owner ($50 upfront cost), demanded i pay $10-25 Thousand for a website, then when i gave said that was a dumb idea, Namecheap went and bought the domain that was my company name exactly only with a .com at the end and is upcharging $2.5k for it........ sleazy service......

In the past, I've loved working with Namecheap. But I accidentally left a hosting plan to auto-renew... it renewed for 2 years and didn't realise for a few months. Called them after I noticed, tried to say I'd pay for what I'd used so far but could I get a partial refund, they said they couldn't do that. In the end I asked if they could cancel the renewal of my other products and I'd move somewhere else, and I checked the day after to go and migrate them... and they'd deleted them.Called support who told me the only way I could get them back was to pay for them again, even though I'd renewed them 3 months ago for 2 years! Awful experience. In the process of getting it reviewed and submitting a complaint. But honestly, Namecheap from 5 years ago was brilliant, but Namecheap now is a sh*t show - stay away. Overpriced and, at least lately, terrible customer service.I'll never be using them again.

Revised Review:After engaging with Namecheap, I discovered that my personal information was compromised, leading to identity theft. This breach resulted in unauthorized use of my personal information, social media accounts, and intellectual property, significantly impacting my financial security. While my initial experience was positive, this incident has led me to reassess my opinion. I advise potential customers to exercise caution and ensure robust data protection measures when considering Namecheap’s services.”Najia HOwner of (surrealdigital-art.org)

i was hit by 46% price increase in a month without any proper communication. Namecheap justified that prices changes are according to market values. Unprofessional.

My experience with the guide was great. My experiences with Namecheap increasing our price without clear notice was not. And then to provide positioning to your agents that it’s due to the Canadian dollar?!?

Namecheap is a holly s***. They buy all the domains themselves and try selling them at a very high price, whenever I see a Namecheap ad, I always leave a bad wish for them. Such a creepy company!

I called in twice. The first time I spoke to a woman who was very hard to understand. She appeared to get aggravated with me because I had to ask her to repeat herself. She basically said to wait 24 hours and see if my problem fixed itself. It was the worst call I had ever had with Namecheap. The second call was with a man that was helpful but came up with a workaround to access my email from my mobile phone. Now I have to go to two different places to review my emails. Not the same Namecheap that I'm use to..

Very Shady business practices, they refused to refund $4,000.00 and lied about services available for email migration ex; migrating files and documents as part of the migration ( we had to do it ourselves), I provided 3 employees' names who promised services they did not deliver they do not have Outlook experience and can not troubleshoot anything without additional costs. Do not use outlook through them, go directly through outlook. They did not advise of the 7-day cancelation policy ( who can effectively know if an email migration works in 7 days ( very unreasonable), we switched directly to Microsoft Microsoft 365 Migration Disaster - OOPR-34249

Watch out they are sharks they will steal your domain and then try to re-sale it to you for thousands. If you have an .co.uk domain registered with them they will register the same domain .com and ask you thousands of £££££ for that domain which should be free to register in the first place. The audacity of these people. Absolutely disgusting company and I hope they go bust. Too bad domain registration is not regulated, if it was all this lot will be in jail.

Unethical company. We registered a number of .co.uk domains with them and then they went and registered the same domains in the .com version. Then they resale those domains to us asking for thousands of pounds for them. A .com domain cost pennies but they want thousands for it. We have already moved most of our domains to another registrar and the rest will be moved before they expire. We don't recommend using their services, they are very unethical on how they conduct business. UPDATE: They responded saying they don't buy domains to resale them at much higher price but they do! See bravoinvestigations.com, bravosec.com, bravofm.com bravosecuritygroup.com We own the .co.uk version of these domains and they went out and bought the .com version only after we registered the .co.uk preventing us from registering .com without paying them thousands ££££!
