Customer service has gone downhill. Tried to call customer service over the last 4 days and have spent over 5 hrs waiting, after a while I was connected and they told me my email problem was solved,and to wait 2 hrs for it to take effect. I tried the next morning but the email was not working.

I purchased a Superbowl promotion to have them build me a website. The Ai was impressive. A few kinks but nothing deal-breaking. I was called by an in-house Marketing Team salesperson and sold a marketing package for $2550 for 6 months. I was enthusiastic. My biggest request, which was made infinitely clear numerous times was overseen 3x. I was reassured by any "mananger" I spoke with that the prob would be corrected. (You think you're speaking with the higher up who is actually going to get the issue fixed. Nope.) The site for marketing services, etc, which I had full access to after paying for, is NOT an intuitive space and required way to much work from me when I was led to believe that THEY would be doing the heavy lifting. I hired Namecheap to OUTSOURCE my marketing needs, not to oversee the work they do and re-do it.Over a few phone calls, I was left feeling like their litmus test/guinea pig in the learning curve. In looking over my analytics, I see that the Namecheap Ai platform was far more successful in growing my "followers" that the humans. Sorry Namecheap humans--the bots win. I do not recommend-- unless you are using for Ai only.

Pretty scummy practices. Reached out about a domain, made an offer $278 below the asking of $1,590. Miss a call from a rep (my phone marked it as spam, turns out it was ultimately correct), then get an email accepting my offer, and with it saying "The owner will raise the price tomorrow if you do not move forward with the purchase". Messed up part is that I visit the domain again as I'm trying to decide, and it's listed for sale right there at an asking of $1,250. So they wanted to charge me ~62 over asking. What is this shenanigans?And it's all just a tactic to force a sale. That domain sits at $2,950 as of writing this review. And thank god I waited for them to jack it up in an attempt at extortion. Got a better idea for my site's name anyway. Not worth it to reward or engage this kind of company anyway.Was in correspondence with a "C.A." (anonymized), but who knows if that's even a real person or just some account people work for a shift.

Awful customer service, rude, unhelpful and just being difficult on purpose. I have had access to my OneDrive account for many months, and apparently after a Microsoft outage at the weekend, Microsoft changed the policy for subscribing to OneDrive meaning that Namecheap will charge more without any notice. Because of this they cancelled my account for OneDrive and asked me to pay nearly £200 to upgrade my account to get access to my documents. Outrageous!! They’ve said if I pay I can get a refund, but I won’t hold my breathe because this isn’t the first time they’ve ripped me off. UPDATE: Spoke with someone on the phone, very polite and helpful. Disappointed to find that now I have access to OneDrive all my documents have disappeared. Awaiting an escalation from the team to resolve. How you’re suppose to run a business like this I do not know. UPDATE: They replied to this review, yet never sent me a form! There is no way to may a complaint online, FUMING!!!

Longest customer support ever - 2 hours to cancel an email service we signed up to 5 days ago that still hasn't been set up. I'd never use Namecheap again for any Domain registration, emails or web hosting.Even got attitude from support chat for not knowing the password with 123 reg despite never signing up to 123 reg? Refund still not processed. Won't call me, can't call them because all there lines are premium and I will get charged

I am so sick to my stomach.... I have been a Namecheap customer since 2017. I had called customer support to try and see if there was any way to get the cost down for my plan... the associate that I was dealing with assured me that he could help me... we talked. I specifically asked him several times that all my content that I had on my site would still be the same and nothing would change. I would still have ALL my content and work I had done on the website, which by the way, it took me Months and years of work to get it perfect!!!!! Even down to the last minute of him saying you have to click the link and approve this, renewal, he kept saying something about Restore your site and AGAIN I asked and said this sound awfully scary you are sure my website content and everything will still be the same I wont lose anything.... again he stated yes!!He then said to give it a few minutes to update... Well I tried going on my site, and ITS GONE!!! EVERYTHING GONE! I called them and sat on hold for 40 minutes... then when I finally got a hold of them on the phone spent 3 hours with them trying to find my content to get it back.. NOPE!! I am so upset about this, this is my business and now I have no website for my customers... I requested a refund on 2/13 and still have not received my refund... and its 3/6 I called again and its still pending for review !! Come on this again is my business I need this money to help me create another website on another platform Im done with Namecheap!!

This is an AMAZING out of the box product if you don't need SEO. It has a basic SEO function but as I am writing loads and not using many other platforms I need my website to work harder.EVERYTHING else about it all the functionality and how it is all connected is great. I have a couple of beautiful websites.It is absolutely perfect if you just need somewhere to point people to.

After reading the article “FTC Takes Action Against Namecheap for Alleged Lax Data Security for Its Website Hosting Services” I want to tell people that my husband's website was deleted by Namecheap too in the year 2023. We found my husband's website (a magic business website) was empty in early 2024 because a client told us the web site was empty. No wonder, my husband didn’t have normal amount of people to contact him for magic performances. Then, we contacted Namecheap, and they said it was because we requested to remove a so called “software update” charge $239 that we thought we didn't need because we were told by a customer service the software charge was for the website development and updating purpose. And since the development was over, why do we still need to keep paying for the software usage? In reality, GoDdady wants to get more money from their customers and has applied lots of hidden fees and charges, such as software usage fees. The website was done just less than two years, Namecheap deleted it, without warning (email, calling) us to tell us we are going to deletion your website. And they thought by deleting, they can give us a punch, and we have to rely on them to redevelop a new website again. What an evil business! Furthermore, the Namecheap manager said they don't have any backup to recover it because it's been deleted for more than 3 months, and they ONLY KEEP DATA FOR 3 MONTH! What an irresponsible, stingy company. Namecheap's behavior makes us appalled! THIS IS A TYPICAL MONEY DRIVEN BUSINESS and IGNORE CUSTOMERS RIGHTS.We want GoDadday to pay business loss and the new website development cost. Because of the Namecheap, we had so much stressful, angry and disappointed time.

Namecheap steals from customers via "theft by service." Every time you call into GD you will be upsold, it is commonplace. They won't solve the issue you called about but they will upsell you at every chance. "oh it's bc you need this services or that service...so after a while you agree to the additional services, in this case its their "Marketing Services" at $120/mo. However, when it comes time to perform the tasks they have been assigned they quote you 48hours turnaround time, but it takes 2 weeks before they perform any of these. Better yet when you call back in to ask for a credit or refund they drag you through hours (currently spent 1h 12m on before a first contact answered, then I got passed around to two departments and placed on additional hold for 33m more, before getting an excuse to try and get me to accept a callback...FYI, NEVER do this, I'm on my 4th phone call to get a manager to call me back, 7 days and still not call back. Namecheap management will LIE and do not ever call you back. EVER! They just hope you will go away so they can bill you again next month for services they have not performed. Currently, my company is filing complaints with the Comptroller's office for "theft by services" due to this issue happening multiple times over the years. We finally had enough and will take a stand against this deceptive practice. This isn't the first time GD has done this to us so we are now pressing the issue. If you can go ANYWHERE else, or hire a local person to build your site and not hire one of Namecheap's Phillipeans-based "marketing experts" it is HIGHLY recommended you do it.

Absolutely disgusting service. Purchased a domain and could not access my account for 3+ days. Spent over 2 hours on hold on chat being told that it will be "fixed" and it hasn't. POOR POOR service.

I was told by Go Daddy if we transferred our websites to them we would have a faster and a more reliable service. This is far from the truth. We have 4 websites and we transferred one domain and 2 hosting websites and it has been nothing less than an absolute disaster.At this moment now, our websites are practically down because the load speeds take minutes rather than seconds and Go Daddy has put us out business. It is now 2 weeks that we are unable to trade and we had to let go all our staff or they had to take their holidays until Go Daddy restores our websites speed as the same as before we transferred to them.We kept telling Go Daddy that our 2 websites will need at least 80 to 90 GB of storage and they kept putting us on the wrong hosting plan. Every time we spoke to Go Daddy, we were given different advice from different advisers. If you need support from Go Daddy, ring them, do not us the chat service because they do not have a clue and they will transfer you to a chatbot and you are just going around in circles repeating the same thing.They have now put us on their top hosting plan with our own server. It is now migrating and could take up to 10 days and our response is that if this does not work, we will be leaving Go Daddy and we will be getting lawyers involved. Because we are now 2 weeks out of business due to Go Daddy incompetence and when the migration is completed it will be 3 weeks out of business.We have 4 websites and we paid a lot of money to Go Daddy for a reliable professional service to manage and to secure our websites.It was big mistake switching to Go Daddy from our previous service provider. We do not want special treatment, we just want a reliable and professional service that we paid for
