Go Daddy took my url, even though it was on auto renew. Now it’s available on their site for $10,000. No takers last I checked. I had been paying for years. Inquiries about this issue were never answered.

They bill expired cards. Hold time is over an hour. They make you wait on hold for HOURS because they know you don't want to be billed. They are adding obstacles to service, so they can continue to bill you.They replied to this post already because they want it editted or deleted. Not because I just gave them information about ridiculously long hold times. They don't need more information. ITS THE HOLD TIMES. I ALREADY SAID THAT. NO, IM NOT GOING TO ENGAGE WITH YOU PEOPLE. We were looking at buying a domain name for our school project, valued at $0.99 last week. The name isn't popular or useful to anyone else in the world, in fact it's an entirely made up word, but coincidentally Namecheap has now decided it's worth $2021.17, $1,999.00 of which is their "Premium Domain Purchase One Time Fee". I understand domain names can be extremely valuable, especially to well-known brands with large budgets, but what is the point of inflating the price of a domain that has never been registered before for an idea with no search engine results? Is the aim of your pricing algorithm to pressure new projects, small businesses, charitable organisations, etc. with little to no budget into paying these exorbitant fees?

The Ai ruins the app. The generic back drops are not personal or a reflection for small businesses. I spoke with someone who helped and found out to make a custom website with your own content you have to pay a lot more. Ai is not a good tool for small businesses. And it should be easily disabled and your own content should be easily controlled by the user. Absolutely 0 reason Ai should be this prevalent in 2025, when we were coding MySpace in 2005.

I’ve been with Namecheap for 13 years. Ever since November of 2023, my account has been hacked over FIFTY times and the only thing Namecheap wants to do is sell me more malware. NONE of it works!! This is the worst company I have ever worked with. Absolutely NO safety or security on their hosting website.DO NOT USE THEM!!

I would give NO stars If I could! Namecheap used to be a reliable hosting and domain provider with excellent support based in Australia. However, since moving their customer service offshore to the Philippines, the quality has plummeted. Their support team is unskilled, unable to resolve technical problems, and customers can no longer speak directly to technical staff.I’ve experienced a critical issue where my website has been down for over a week, and despite multiple attempts, their response has been slow and ineffective. This is a serious issue for businesses that rely on their online presence.If you need reliable hosting and domain management, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Namecheap’s decline in service is unacceptable, and their lack of urgency in handling critical problems can cause real financial losses.

Do not use. Namecheap sent me a reminder and invoice for the domain name registration for two years for two website. I had paid this invoice before so did again.I then received an invoice for the same service for a different company (who host the website), so I questioned them as I said Namecheap had the domain name registration.They said use WHOIS lookup, which details the registrar for the domain and it is was NOT Namecheap even though they had charged me before for this service.I told Namecheap they had no right to charge my in the first place as the didn't hold the domain name registration and asked for a refund. The refund was REFUSED.In my view that is fraud.

Terrible! Pay monthly for a domain and website, for the website to never show correctly online, and when you raise it with the help centre they are no help. Always an excuse as to why the website isnt being displayed properly, but they will never have an issue with taking your payments each month.

We have been with go daddy for well over 10 years. We have prepaid for a website for 3 YEARS and less than 1 year in, due to an old expired visa, go daddy completed deleted our website without warning. We spoke to 2 representatives that told us they will have the website back up and running in 24 hours...we had to pay for website security, another $135 and domain (on top of the over $1600 we have already paid for a 3 year website which had been deleted without our knowledge). The website never came up and running and the support ghosted us. It was not until I spoke to a 2nd support person that I looked at our billing and I had to inform them of my account payments, they did not even look at it showing we prepaid for the website. We called and spoke to a third representative, who then thankfully informed us the other 2 representatives were wrong and there is no way our website could ever be repaired....its gone....after over 10 years of loyalty.... pre payments and our entire business website that we rely on for our family income...deleted, although prepaid for. So, this 3rd rep gave us a link to contact billing to TRY and get a refund as you cannot call them... we did this as requested FEB 12th 2025, and told we will get a response in 7-10 business days. It is now March 11th 2025 and we have no heard back form them. Congratulations Go Daddy on a fraudulent performance, robbing a small business and ghosting them. This is the first review I have ever left in my life as I would never leave a bad business review, but this is by far the worst most untrusted experience i have ever had in 10 years in business. Customer success team doesnt know it's own product features. They wanted me to upgrade (spend MORE money), but then they didn't know if upgrading will fix my issue. Then said they could only refund me for that upgrade by deleting my website -- which is my business -- so this is unacceptable.Been on customer chat for over an hour and they still dont know if my issue will be solved by upgrading.

Spoke with several people due to my account being locked. Everyone was helpful but the background noise of other agents and their constant loud laughs was very disturbing. When I informed the agent of the noise, He told me to focus on the problem. I FOUND THIS TO BE VERY RUDE.
