It's people that genuinely care about the problems of people calling in that makes the difference. James showed that in today's conversation with me even though I was not able to get a solution to my problem. Nevertehless, James left me with some options and alternate choices and I hope to speak to him very soon concerning these options.

DO NOT TRUST Namecheap – THEY ARE CROOKS!ZERO stars is what they should receive. If I could give zero stars, I would. Namecheap is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. They allowed an ex-employee to call in and have my website completely deleted—without my authorization! Yet, when I try to get help, I am forced to spend a minimum of three hours on the phone just to reach the right department, only to be ignored, hung up on, or given the runaround.I have lost thousands of dollars because of their negligence. They owe me $2,500 plus all the revenue I lost when my newly built website disappeared. It has been over a year, and they refuse to assist me, issue a refund, or even take accountability for their mistake. They are now holding my domains hostage, making it impossible for me to move forward with my business.Their customer service is absolutely horrific—every call is routed overseas, where no one speaks fluent English, and no one is capable of resolving anything. They keep me on hold for hours, only to disconnect the call with no resolution.I now have no choice but to get lawyers involved because they refuse to do the right thing. If you are considering using Namecheap—DON’T! As soon as they take your money, they will not help you. They are completely untrustworthy and should be avoided at all costs.STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

What a horrible company. They have migrate my website in January, since that moment half off my website information is missing, website didn't work almost 1 months at all, when you calling they absolutely didn't care, you can spend 1- 2h on the line but it will not make any difference, tomorrow new operator will repeat this exercise again ??. Today is 15/03/2024 after 2.5 months off waiting to fix my website I decided to go to different provider. They charge you on every step, but if something go wrong they lift them arms up and tell you to pay again and again. Safe your money and time

Every year I get an "auto renewal" email for a site I no longer have with you. Every year they apologise and tell me it's sorted EVERY YEAR!What is wrong with your incompetent company!!!!!Edit:3 weeks later. After the comment with their apology, and promise of no further emails, They are now chasing and reminding me that I need to update my payment details. Utterly infuriating company and totally amateurish serviceEdit.6 weeks laterStill getting the renewal emails. Still this company will not leave me alone. For God's sake. Steer clear of this company. You'll lose your mind.

They just set your stuff to auto renew and keep taking your money. Canceling is a hassle. Customer service is awful.

I need to open a credit

Do not buy your domain through Namecheap. I know they sold my data as I started receiving spam emails before my website was live, and before the details were shared with anyone but Namecheap. A shady, lying, illegal business that should be avoided at all costs.

Be more upfront and inform customers that when issuing a refund it will be done as a credit and expires after 1 year, not expecting people to read thru hundreds of pages of legal jargon to find that out. Also if the customer has no need or within that year no opportunity to use the credit, it be completely refunded to their card or bank account.

Namecheap auctions is a scam. When you bid for a domain listed at auction then outbid you so that you have to pay them a higher prices and broker fee. The system does show you someone making an automatic bid in the last minute before expiration, and support confirmed giving only stupid excuses without real data and avoiding the point of contacting them. Be careful this is the second time i get scammed by Namecheap.

Listening and confirming my issues. That made me feel heard before starting the details to solve my issues.

Horrible !Switched off my auto renewal for all my products as I didn’t wanted to use it anymore. Only to come back to an email weeks later saying they tried to bill me anyway! As somehow everything that I switched manually off not to be renewed was switched back on again! Will never use again!

Over the past two days, I spent approximately five hours on calls with Namecheap. My initial conversation with a representative was not particularly helpful, as they attempted to lock me into a five-year plan, which I was not prepared to commit to for my business. As a result, we ended up selecting a service that ultimately did not meet my needs. After two additional calls, I was able to work with their team to resolve the issue that arose from the initial conversation.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Namecheap is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have lost thousands of pounds because of their negligence. Every time you have a problem, their solution is to charge you some more money because you need another service or some additional security. In the latest incident, my SQL database stopped working and they advised me that I would need to spend over £1,000 to get one year of premium WordPress support. In the end, I had to prise it out of the representative that I spoke to that I could get 3 months of support for a few hundred pounds and then I finally got it out of them that I could get 1-month support for just £115. It just felt very dishonest and withholding information is tantamount to lying! I was also told that my Web developer wouldn't be able to fix the issue and that the only solution was to pay Namecheap for WordPress Premium support. So I was left with no choice but to pay. I then got an email from WP to say that the SQL database was not even a WordPress issue and it turns out that Namecheap was just saying whatever they had to say to sell me a service that I didn't need, once again! I will be looking for a refund as I was misinformed and sold a service that I didn't need.Their customer service is absolutely horrific and no one is capable of resolving anything. They keep me on hold for hours, only to disconnect the call with no resolution. In fact, I am beginning to think they create the issue themselves just so they can charge you to fix a problem that they created in the first place. They are overpriced and dishonest. The staff are trained just to sell you more services that you don't necessarily need. This is something I have experienced again and again. I will be moving everything to another company as soon as possible. As soon as they take your money, they will not help you. They will only use your problem to sell you another service. They are completely untrustworthy and should be avoided at all costs.STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I found un-matched customer support. Most guys are with knowledge and support.

It was completely disaster and waste of money to have Go daddy built my business website. So far they have charged me about $2700. My website still not finished completely and not working properly. Finally I asked them to publish my website what ever work they have done. They sold me 10 pages plan for $1900. They didn’t mentioned that there will be hosting changes will start as they will start working on my website which is approximately $387. How ever it took them more 1 year to make 6 pages and contract was for 10 pages. Most difficult process was you have to call them then they will make appointment for you in 2 weeks time at least and when someone call you then you have to tell them what are your concerns then they will tell you it’s gonna take 3 to 4 days to make changes or web designer will call you back. Go daddy didn’t have any updated pictures gallery for my limousine business website also they don’t have any ideas everything you have to tell them what you want to do. So if you don’t have any ideas or any contents or any pictures of your website design then forget go daddy will built your website. I am so disappointed from Go daddy’s ability to create website. After going through all this then they want you buy monthly marketing plan so they can work on your unfinished website. On the top that my website was never published and they changed me again $387. When I asked them they said oh in order to work on your site you have to pay yearly hosting fees otherwise we can’t work or your website data will be deleted. Finally I have published my unfinished website and my reservation page still doesn’t work.If I have paid $800 to 100’s of people calling and offering designing website they would have done better job. That’s what I am doing now. I hired someone else to design my website for $800. Up to ten pages and they are very cooperative.

I purchased a expensive premium domain from this company with the promise of activation within 4–7 days. However, after following up, I was informed that it could now take up to 21 days. The unexpected delay and unprofessional handling of my purchase have been extremely disappointing. For such a significant investment, clear communication and prompt service are essential—qualities that were noticeably absent in this experience. I would advise others to exercise caution when considering premium domain purchases from this provider.

Lovely domain, got what I wanted and nothing was too much trouble. Thinkin of checking their managed WordPress option too.

Extremely disappointed. In December 2025 I was magically "renewed" an MS 365 account that I had never actually had, as evidenced by the fact that it was never paid in 2024.They charged me 100 euros for nothing. It was clearly a technical defect on the side of Namecheap, which they refused to acknowledge and reimburse me for.

I tried to purchase a domain name. It said "Buy it now!". After completing the checkout it tells you that you purchased a domain brokerage service. I never received the domain name. As many other reviews here point out, THIS DOMAIN SERIVICE HAS MANY SCAMMY PRACTICES!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!

Absolute trash company. If you never need customer service you may be ok. But why bother either way, when you pay them a bunch of money for a domain name that always looks very amateur, and a company having a @gmal email address is essentially the norm. I was billed annually for services. That did not work. I was billed on December 4th and from December 11th until I cancelled in Feb. I never received a SINGLE email. Every single person who I spoke with who ‘attempted’ to help me failed in getting my email working. And when I was finally losing enough business that I decided to open an entirely new account (which still messes me up because certain things still go to my Namecheap account) - I was then advised that they could not refund the money that I had paid in December for a YEAR. Because their refund policy is only for a max of 7 days after initial payment is received. This company is out for number one and could not care less about small start up businesses. Save yourself the headache.
