Awful service in support chatI was looking to renew the website via WhatsApp chat. I was exchanging messages with 7 different staff over 3 hours. At some point I was offered a good discount but the price never appeared in the cart. The next person increased the price by 4 times and was telling me how 'amazing' the price is. Horrible service !..PS. Update 22 March - responded to reply by submitting the details of the chart - nothing happened (as expected!...)

First year they gave me cheap price and made the website now they made it expensive. New deal take of rebuild the website. Go daddy should have one off pay on website template so customers can use any host as they got the fair price.

After hours and hours trying to get my website to proper setting for my on line store still not fixed . We shouldn't have to wait 2 days to just have to resubmit a ticket 5 times because no one understands what needs to be done. So frustrating

Incompetent handling of my money—absolutely unacceptable! This company has over £700 of my money held as store credit, which they mistakenly assigned to the wrong account. They’ve openly admitted this error, yet when I asked for my funds to be applied to two other sites I have with them, I was met with “We cannot do that.” Excuse me? You misallocated my money, and now it’s frozen and inaccessible? To make matters worse, I was forced to raise a ticket with a 14-day turnaround. Day 15 came and went with no resolution, so I called for an update. I was promised an email within 90 minutes confirming the outcome. I waited 24 hours—no email. I called again and was told to wait another 24 hours for their investigation. I obliged. Another 24 hours passed, and still nothing. When I called back, I was asked to wait yet another day. This has been a never-ending, infuriating cycle of delays and excuses. What they’re doing feels entirely unethical—how is it acceptable to withhold my money and render it unusable? Their service is beyond appalling, and I’m shocked at the sheer incompetence of their customer support.Update:14/3/25They have just replied with a short sentence denying they need to make a correction which means they have now kept my money unlawfully!Update: 16/03/25They have finally admitted their mistake and refunded me. Albeit raising a support ticket and chase several times did nothing until I wrote a Trustpilot review.

Shameless customer service, talk to an agent got an email confirmation, yet no billing adjustment and my site has been suspended. I will never again deal with Namecheap.

Not a great user interface. Other registrars such as IONOS have a much more friendly UI, come with free emails, SSLs everything is just less expensive and easier, especially if you're not very tech savy.

Be careful with this domain provider! I bought a domain from them and now I tried to connect an email to my domain but I received a notification that this email is already registered! When I contacted Godadi support they told me that I should solve this problem with Microsoft myself, since it was registered with them a long time ago! What??? I am shocked that such a large service behaves so poorly with its clients! This is the bottom!

The service is advertised as "When you purchase the service, a dedicated broker will help you formulate a strategy and budget to try to acquire your domain", but in reality when i purchased this on 8th February all i got was an email which in brief looks automated and says "I'm your person … and … I will reach out to the current owner of the domain name with varying offer amounts, through multiple channels trying to compel them to enter into a negotiation over the 30-day term of the Domain Broker Service process".I had already been proactive and done some research about the WhoIs, checked various valuations of between $0-500 and $500-$1000 from Namecheap and other sources, and knew the domain had been dormant and empty for more than 8 years. I sent this info across on the 9th February saying to negotiate up $1000-1500, thinking it would be useful / something to discuss. Nothing, no replies, so I tried to call the dedicated broker on their direct line given in his email, and left a couple of voicemails. On the 13th I eventually get a email response that they are still trying to find who the actual owner of the domain is. OK fair enough. No more contact for the whole of February (approx. 2 weeks of a 30 day service), this despite me trying to call my dedicated broker a few more times, more voicemails left, and no call backs and no email messages.Eventually on the 5th March I get reply (with just a few days left of the service) stating "The owner of the domain has not responded to an offer yet. We’ve been in pursuit of this domain name for around two weeks at this point with continuous outreach. At this point I believe that the best chance of a response is to increase the offer." I replied immediately asking “did they respond to early message(s), but not to the offer? Or just not responded to anything? If they have not responded to any to any communication, there is little sense in increasing the offer. Do I get a summary of the Namecheap results at the end of the 30 days?”.Guess what? No replies, no response to my calls, or voicemails left. I have spoken to the same colleague (instead of leaving a voicemail for your personal domain broker, you can press 2 and speak to someone in the same department), who told me 4 times they would get my dedicated broker to contact and yet i am still waiting on the 14th March, despite being told every time someone will contact me the same day, everyday, and no one has.To be honest I feel a bit cheated by this. You pay 95GBP for a service, expecting that you’ll discuss and work on a strategy (that never happened). The reality is i had little contact, no replies and no information unless i chased and chased, and I still don't have any feedback or conclusion. I have learnt nothing from the experience of using the domain broker service. Nothing has been achieved. I just i feel i wasted some money and time, and got very frustrated in the process.Even though i am quite sure the 30 days service has passed, this hasn’t been confirmed to me. My dedicated broker still hasn’t bothered to answer, and the colleagues in the department are still telling me daily that someone will call me ... and here i am waiting ... waiting ... waiting ... waiting …

This is by far the worst hosting provider. We are paying 10k+ SAR every year to Namecheap for several services and the last 2 weeks we are getting continuously our website suspended. When we approach their contact center and threaten them with legal actions they restore it. Then again the same issue, while they blackmail us that we have to pay extra their technical team if we want our website to be fully functional. This practice is totally fraud and we have recorded all conversations, so we will report legally. If you have any company that looking for professional hosting service, then avoid Namecheap as plague.

I've been a Namecheap customer since 2008 and have used their services for over 15 years. Over time, I’ve noticed significant changes in their pricing structure, customer support, and overall service experience.Pros? Their web hosting and domain registration services remain reliable.? Initial pricing promotions make their services seem cost-effective.Cons?? Pricing Increases & Hidden Costs – The initial promotional pricing is attractive, but renewals come with steep price increases. Web hosting fees have significantly risen, and essential features (such as a professional email and SSL security) are now charged separately, whereas they used to be included.?? Limited Built-In Features – The standard marketing package bundled with web hosting only allows 100 email recipients per campaign, requiring an expensive upgrade for larger lists.?? Tech Support & Upselling – Customer support has shifted from hands-on troubleshooting to standard scripted responses. Solutions often involve purchasing additional products rather than resolving the issue. Advanced technical support is slow and primarily provides generic guidance via text rather than interactive problem-solving.?? Product Compartmentalization – My Digital Marketing package was placed in a separate workspace from my primary hosting, domain, and email, creating unnecessary complications. I was advised to redo my entire email campaign from scratch due to this system issue, which I declined.Final ThoughtsNamecheap has shifted towards a pay-for-every-feature model, making it less cost-effective than it used to be. If you’re considering Namecheap, be aware of renewal pricing and double-check that all essential features (like email, SSL, and marketing tools) are included in your plan.I ultimately requested and received a refund for an unnecessary email upgrade that was recommended for my campaign. I appreciate that option, but I’ll be reevaluating my long-term use of Namecheap's services based on these experiences.

I’ve been a member for a few years and I recently closed my business. I requested a refund of the $44 for the domain and I was denied because it was past the days of the refund policy. I specified I no longer have a business and it’s insane to me how this company will just steal your money when you’re not even using the service. I did not reach out during the timeframe because I was in the process of closing and that’s hard enough as it is, losing a business. I will never recommend them not come back to them.

Terrible! Go Daddy used to be the best at what they did, especially customer service was supper good, 10 years ago. When I call customer service, I am forced to listen to endless promps, which normally is ok, but Namecheap is awfull because I'm, busy and I put those things on Speaker Phone while I am waiting so I can continue doing whatever I need to do at the moment. But I literally have to stop and listen for a complete 5 minutes. And I find I have to chat my questions on text! And I find I have to wait longer to get someone on text chat! And if I get too distracted, I can miss the chat entirely!! Text chat is a terrible way to communicate any questions especially technical questions! TERRIBLE!!! Weebly is so much better:) I can't wait till I move my 16 products from Namecheap over to Weebly! :)
