I called Namecheap to make a payment and had questions about the bill. 3/24/25. Skeeter was most helpful with explaining my bill and how to move forward

ARSUM in your Customer Service, Hosting and Security Dept as presented to me this day which is "this fine day" due to Arsum's extremely caring words, knowledge, and presentation of both to our problems. Such TOP Customer Service as we just received, with a host of problems that were partially caused by our own neglect of our older-Go Daddy Product line-ups, is VERY VALUABLE and remains as SUCH for years/decades/millenia to come.

I was looking to buy a domain, I go to Namecheap because I knew the domain I wanted was available. They instantly acquire it and offer to sell it for 48k USDI then contact them, tell them I only want email conversation, and they then call me when I want to negotiate, violating my privacy. The very next day, they acquire ALL of the related domains ending with either .net, .co.uk, etc. and mark up the price just to attempt to extort me for money.I knew people had warned me of Namecheap, but I didn't think trying to negotiate price and telling them no would lead to this.Like, I can literally see who registered the domains when looking them up.I will never recommend anyone dealing with this russian war supporting company, buying up domains to force your hands, having been in more controversies than I can count on one hand.

I had an issue that, even as a non-techi, I thought was fairly simple to remedy. Apparently I misjudged Go Daddy's tech support. My contact e-mail listed with Go daddy has an extra letter at the end which makes contact with web support impossible. I simply needed the extra letter to be removed from the contact e-mail address. That appears to be beyond their pay-grade. So I set up 2 step verification ... still nothing.

Excellent support when needed. Just works the rest of the time. Never an unpleasant phone call.

I’ve been a loyal Namecheap customer for years, but I recently discovered that I’ve been charged $718.59 over time—much of it through monthly fees that were not clearly communicated. While I expected to pay an annual renewal fee for my domain, I didn’t realize I was being charged $21.99 per month on top of that. When I contacted customer service to request a partial refund for services I no longer use, I was told I was outside the refund window—even though I was only a month into the most recent billing cycle. I explained my long-standing loyalty and how much I had spent overall, but they would not budge, citing strict policy. I even asked for a prorated refund and a supervisor review, but was told a supervisor would say the same thing. It’s disappointing that a company of this size would rather stick to rigid policies than do the right thing for a loyal customer. I’ve since transferred my domain and set up my website elsewhere for a fraction of the cost, and honestly—I wish I had done it sooner. If you’re considering Namecheap, I’d strongly recommend reviewing your invoices regularly and being cautious with subscriptions. Hidden monthly fees can quietly add up, and once you notice them, it may be too late to do anything about it.

Our rep Jake did a phenomenal job helping our company out as we own multiple domains and manage several pages within Namecheap and he and I worked for about 5 hours in total to set us on the right track! Thanks again for being such a great company to work with!

I am not the most savvy person with computers. I am not the best customer you want calling you. Jen was so patient, great with recommendations and solved all my problems. I highly recommend her. Thank you for all the help. I was dredding the call because I knew my problem wasn't going to be easy. It wound up being very easy.
