In an outrageous and unfounded decision, our entire account with 22 domains was terminated within just 15 hours, with NO factual reason given. This termination has brought down our entire operation, leaving our customers unable to access our websites or reach us via support emails. These domains generate millions in revenue monthly, and now, because of Namecheap's actions, everything is offline without any chance for appeal or even a proper explanation.We are now dealing with the nightmare scenario every ecommerce entrepreneur dreads. Despite our urgent requests for support, their customer service has offered nothing—no information, no justification, and no solution. This level of irresponsibility has caused untold damage to our business and our customers.We will be pursuing legal action due to the devastating impact this has had on us and to hold Namecheap accountable for this reckless decision. Business owners, save yourself from this disaster and avoid Namecheap at all costs. The risks are far too high, and the support will leave you stranded.

This was probably the best customer support call I have ever experienced- I don’t know ANYTHING about domain names- DNS- all of that- but the person on the phone was incredibly nice and walked me through the whole process! So, I bought the web hosting plan. Before buying, I consulted with customer service about the free CDN and free SSL because the price was too high (around 300 USD for 3 years) and I wanted to know the services that they would be offering. One of the agents told me that the CDN and SSL will be offered with the plan and they will be available for free until the plan is valid. I bought the web hosting plan. When I set up the website, there was no CDN available. I again consulted with the customer service representative, and he told me that the CDN was not available, and suggested I should buy a website security plan separately. I didn't want to spend more money, therefore he encouraged me to buy WordPress web hosting ultimate plan as I have 3 websites to host. I refunded the previous plan and bought the WordPress web hosting. As I was lied to previously, I started to doubt again and consulted with a customer service representative. She told me that the CDN and SSL that are available with the plan will be valid for a single year only. Then I have to renew the plan separately. I was literally shocked. Here is the breakdown for my cost ( WordPress ultimate 11.99 per month which is equal to 503 USD for 3 years and renewal at around 800 USD for 3 years + domain -18 USD around after 1 year (it is expensive but fine though) + SSL 239 USD per year after 1 year ( I need SSL for multiple websites) + website security plan 11.99 USD per month. So the cost comes to nearly 45 Dollars per month after one year.About the performance: Despite the heavy cost, I bought the WordPress web hosting ultimate plan as I wanted to check the performance. I have a lot of traffic to handle, so I thought if the performance is better, the cost might be justified. So, I checked the performance, and it was the most terrible performance I have ever seen. My website has around 2 GB of content (photos and codes are all optimized). The website takes forever to load. The loading time was around 4.2 seconds. The GTmetrix grading was E. I consulted with customer service again and found out that they still use Apache server which is like 50 times slower than LiteSpeed server. The only thing good with this hosting provider is that they provide NvMe storage with almost all plans. They will be commenting in this review regarding the performance like you should use the less no. of plugins, and optimization is needed. SHUT UP! I have been doing this for almost 7 years and while using other hosting providers, I was able to achieve around 99 rating for website speed according to Google search console score and it was used to load within 1.2 seconds. They will advertise that the service is free. There is no mention anywhere that we have to pay the additional charges after a year and also there is not a proper specification of the products as they are using obsolete tech, which might hamper their sales. This is the most deceptive companyDespite the bad services and outdated servers, they are using, I am surprised how this web hosting company has so many customers, and nearly 16 percent of the total websites are hosted through this company.So, if you have a lot of money to spend, want less outdated service with F-grade performance at a high price, terrible customer support, and do not mind a high renewal price, I would definitely suggest using Namecheap.Thank God, I haven't used the service for more than 30 days and am able to recover my money.PS: I know they will delete this review as they have a Trustpilot plan, but I have copy-pasted this review, I will post it once a week. I would have rated even less than 1 if available.

I just bought domain from Namecheap.com and unfortunately I needed to change the email to my Namecheap accound. I amwaiting already 1 month. Even though I sent all documents they asked for , I just receive email that we still did not review your documents. It is already 1 month that I cannot start work on my project . I have been a Namecheap reseller for years, but the level of support I’ve received has drastically declined over the last couple of years. Typically, my account renewals go smoothly, even allowing a grace period past expiration. However, this time, immediately after expiration, all associated services were abruptly removed from my account, including Web Hosting Deluxe, Email Marketing - Pro, Standard SSL, Business Managed WordPress, Websites + Marketing Commerce, and Website Security Basic.I contacted Namecheap support via phone, waiting over an hour to reach an agent. After renewing my services, I was assured that all products would be restored within 24 hours. Yet, despite multiple follow-ups, nothing has been restored. Since October 18, 2024, I have contacted Namecheap repeatedly through chat support, only to experience incredibly poor service—agents disconnecting mid-chat, auto time-outs, and constant restarts with new agents, each asking the same questions with no resolution. Case ID #137849213 remains open, yet support seems unwilling or unable to help.The continued downtime and lack of access to critical business tools have caused substantial losses. It’s disheartening to see how far Namecheap’s support has fallen. I urge prospective customers to consider alternatives if they require reliable service and support. This experience has been frustrating, and I hope Namecheap addresses these issues before more customers are affected.
