I have been a Lover of Namecheap for a decade. I have felt like they never sleep - that I can reach out to them at anytime and someone will be there. And they will be real. And they will be patient. And they will be FUN! Or at least able to respond to FUN.That was not my case tonight. Tonight I got caught in the AI Upgrade which has a monotonous, inauthentic feminine voice holding you hostage inside a maze of questions and directions. I got completely lost. Hung up. Called back. Found my way. Was profoundly served once I reached Romel. SO HERE IS MY MESSAGE - PUT HEART IN THAT FEMININE AI VOICE . EMBUE IN HER THE WARMTH AND HUMANITY THAT HAVE CHARACTERIZED Namecheap REPRESENTATIVES - all of these years. And...SIMPLIFY. There are too many choices, too many steps. Give me a way to get to a person much sooner in the game.

I bought a domain on 30 Oct 2024. The next day, I tried to log into my account but I couldn't. I contacted the support and they told me that I have to provide a scan of my ID (front and back) and a scan of my credit card. This is outrageous because Namecheap is known to sell customer data, and I won't give them my data to sell it as well.They won't transfer my domain to another provider, nor give me a refund. The customer service is horrible and won't be helpful at all.

0 stars if I could. What happened to this company at all 2012 Brilliant 2024 Atrocious. Several complaints ignored, Paid for a plan I don't have (£25 ) completely misled at check out (240 that could have been £90).Never assist chat service is disgusting. Replied to previous review saying they were sorry we emailed you...Big huge nothing.Just mess around and mess around ruined Mt business launch and notcso much as an Apology. 5 months in and my business still not up and running.Asked to put the plan I paid for on my shop and today they've tried to debit £500 in 2 oddments for free trials of Web builders and marketing for inactive domains. They've tried that many times and I've complained on my personal account that my card keeps repeatedly getting blocked by my bank for suspected fraud from them so I'm not only one even PayPal blocked them. I have found a different company who are absolutly amazing, could not me more helpful. Amazing deals and still cheaper after the deal period with one free email.Watch out woth Go Daddy they got greedy every little thing is a whopper extra charge, Domains at end of term go ridiculously expensive.I won't stop untill I've got all my money of them back. Avoid unless you want yo be paying hearty 3 grand per website a year to be hosted by the time the charge you for all the protection, per email and more. They even rang me after asking to say wecwill build your site (On wordpress which is fool proof for anyone to do ) £2400 Absolutely gone right down. Avoid unless you want your business launch jessed up 5 tines incompetent onball accounts I'm furious.Even high level complain ignored 2 weeks in. So looks like it's the ombudsman and trading standards for me now.100% not catering for larger business set up and exploiting first time small business set up. You don't need to be paying thos much for basic Web builder packages.

Andrew is the only reason I am given an excellent score. In the previous days, I had been on the chat supposedly with a live person but it had to be a "bot". If not, then that person needs more than training. I was on trying to explain and get an issue corrected for a minimum of 7 hours until I decided to end the chat. Andrew solved my issue within 7 minutes. Andrew saved the day because I was really upset that I had been charged almost $100 for a renewal when it should have only been $32. Thanks Andrew!

Bad service: I requested a withdrawal of my money (large sum) in my Namecheap account by phone, as this cannot be done electronically/in writing.The answer on the phone was that Namecheap would contact me again about this. After 2 weeks I called again and was told it could take up to 8 weeks; I should wait. After 11 WEEKS nothing had happened and then I called again impatiently. Then they said that this department was not in my country and that they could not reach this department by phone from the Swiss department (my country) and had no news. I should write an email directly and they would do the same.It is wrong how such a global company behaves in this case and actually freezes my money (18k!) for this time ??- Original Language/Sprache German/Deutsch - Schlechter Service: Habe eine Auszahlung von meinem Geld (grössere Summe) im Namecheap-Konto telefonisch beantragt, da man dies nicht elektronisch/schriftlich kann. Die Antwort am Telefon war, dass ich von Namecheap deshalb wieder kontaktiert werde. Nach 2 Wochen habe ich erneut angerufen und dann hiess es, es könne bis zu 8 Wochen gehen; ich solle warten. Nach 11 WOCHEN ist immer noch nichts geschehen und dann habe ich ungeduldig erneut angerufen. Dann hiess es, dass diese Abteilung nicht in meinem Land sei und dass sie aus der Schweizer Abteilung (meinem Land) diese Abteilung telefonisch nicht erreichen können und keine Neuigkeiten hätten. Ich soll direkt eine Mail schreiben und sie würden dasselbe tun. Es ist daneben, wie sich ein solches globales Unternehmen in diesem Fall verhält und eigentlich mein Geld (18k!) für diese Zeit eingefriert ??
