Really happy. The broker service got us the domain we wanted and was excellent value. Although a bit expensive but worth it

The marketing plan is extremely hard to use and customize the website. The company kept me hanging on the refund request when they said "10 business days to get back to me" to the point it is now past 30 days and hard to dispute on credit. Very shady practice and a complete scam.

I have been with Namecheap for 10 years, but in the last 6 years, their services have completely collapsed. They are no longer a real business-friendly company—they only care about profits and tricking customers.?? Reseller Plan is Useless & a Total Scam!I invested in Namecheap's Pro Reseller Plan, expecting long-term benefits. But their reseller panel is outdated, broken, and has no real tools to help business growth:? No API Access – You can’t automate anything.? No Marketing Tools – No way to promote or scale your business.? Slow & Outdated Reseller Panel – They haven’t updated it in years.?? Customer Support is the Worst! For any issue, Namecheap's Indian chat agents just waste time with copy-paste scripted replies. They never solve anything! The support used to be good years ago, but now it’s just a joke.?? Namecheap is NOT a Business-Friendly Company Anymore! In the last 6 years, they have completely lost their credibility. If you are thinking of using Namecheap for reselling or long-term business, DO NOT DO IT! You will waste your time, money, and energy on a company that doesn’t care about its customers.?? Namecheap = Zero Support + Outdated System + Business Failure ??I regret ever trusting them. Learn from my mistake and stay away!

We have had nothing but terrible service with Namecheap. Their people are completely unknowledgeable to the point where they told me that the emails we have received from them over the last 2 years were spam emails. This is emails letting us know when we received a payment and so forth. Every time we receive a payment from customers, Namecheap hold the funds and forces us to upload invoices and bank statements. This feels like a violation of our and our customers privacy. It is very frustrating to deal with them. Also after 2 years with them we received our first chargeback on a payment we processed. The card used was stolen so it was not our fault; however, they threatened to shut us down “due to an unusual high number of charge backs”. The next time we received a payment, Namecheap forced us to either refund the payment or they will hold our transactions for 120 days. We did not have time to make a decision because Namecheap went ahead and refunded the payment (which was undisputed and for no reason). Additionally, Namecheap charged us $791.34 in fees. They are stealing their customers' money.I called them and waited 40 minutes on the line only for them to transfer me and have me wait another 45 minutes, which turned out to be 80 minutes. After waiting on the phone for 2 hours, the person "helping" me just kept speaking over me. He did not allow me to describe the issue, or the multiple other issues we have had. He just kept talking over me telling me to reply back to the email they have send. He then in a condescending way said "he understands the unreasonable high expectations we have", which in this case is to not have to refund a customer who did NOT dispute the charge or anything, Namecheap just decided it should be refunded. I made sure to be respectful, especially considering I waited 2 hours on the phone, so I was very surprised and shocked by the interaction. We will close our account with them and I would never recommend their services to anyone.

I have been with Namecheap since 2009 because I loved their service. It’s 2025 and they just ripped me off by double-dipping me and they won’t refund any of it! It seems they’ve grown so big, the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing—so they have totally lost my trust, but I’m now stuck with this double-dipping for the next two years! Let me back up and give you context so you can spot the warning signs. I got a charge on my credit card for $695.28; it was for a renewal for MS Business Professional. 2/19/25, I called Namecheap telling them I could not afford to renew it this year. The American guy, Joshua, on the phone was sweet and sympathetic. He took my phone number down, so he could call me back just in case we got disconnected. He was about to help me downgrade my package, but he was back and forth with his managers about what they can do for me. The third time he had a question for his managers, the call was disconnected. I waited for the rest of the day for him to call me back, but he did not. I recalled this happening with Namecheap in the past. It was obvious that the reps in the US don’t want to show they’ve lost money for the company when someone downgrades, so they force you to call back to you get their offshore people. Days later, I called back and got someone offshore. She was kind and sweet too and told me I could file for a refund because she was sure I could get it. In the meantime, she downgraded my package to MS Essentials Online, so I bought that package as she suggested so I wouldn’t lose my email. The next day, I had some problems with my email. I called Namecheap again and got another offshore person. He helped me fix my problems, and he was also sure I would get a refund since I hadn’t activated my MS Business Professional since the renewal date. He also told me that Namecheap gets about 10,000 refund requests in a week, that’s why they took so long to process it. Today, March 20, 2025, I finally got contacted by the Refund Request people. They refused to refund me. In addition, they said they could not refund the online essentials package I just bought for back up because it is now passed the refund policy date. When my package expires, I am NEVER going back. I bet I’m not the only one this happened to.

How this has 4.6 seems suspect.. Anyone I know who uses Namecheap does not have good words to say!I've had enough now and fed up of being manipulated to use this absolute tragic service, which is nothing but agg when anything does not work! Fact! You speak to contact support they say you need to buy something you already have! You try resetting a password and get taken to sign in page on the link they email you!How is this company recommended by microsoft but when it comes down to complaints, makes crystal clear they are separate... If you can find another way and look pass what seems like Namecheap is the only option DO IT

If you buy a domian from Namecheap, you will not be able to get hosting with anybody else for 60 days. They will automatically lock your domain for that long. Buy your domain somewhere else and your hosting. Go daddy is expensive.

Namecheap used to be good but now their support is god awful to dealwith. Bad AI combined with bad personnel on top of poor UI leaves me wishing I swapped to another provider years ago instead of sinking with the ship.

I can't begin to explain the frustration in trying to set up something that should be super straightforward: Setting up email aliases. There was an item for setting it up in our control panel. But it would create errors. When checking with support we were informed that we had to upgrade and add a new service on. After upgrading, it still didn't work and then we were told we had to add yet another service to make it work (when initially it was supposed to be part of our domain package). Literally everything we need to do should be intuitive (especially for someone who spent many years as a system admin for enterprise companies, including their DNS servers). But instead it feels like pulling teeth.

I did not authorize renewal of my products and haven't renewed them for years. I don't need my domain and it clearly shows in my account that I haven't used them. Go Daddy used my backup credit card to charge me. I was online with a rep for THREE hours and they did not resolve my situation and credit me for the charges. Horrible customer service and I won't recommend them to anyone. There are far better options out there.

The best part of Namecheap is the ease of doing business with them. Customer service is GREAT. BUT it would have been nice to receive a text that my domain was expiring.

The most frustrating experiences of my life have been on the phone with Namecheap. You spend an average of 45 mins to two hours on the phone with them every time you call in and do not get anywhere. Talk to heavy accent agents all over the world and get transferred all over just to have another agent ask you to upgrade to marketing services that you just forcefully signed up for 30 minutes prior. It's absolutely mind boggling how these people stay in business.

I disabled DNSSEC to change nameservers more than two weeks ago, but DNSSEC is still enabled. While being in contact with support that can't fix this, DNS propagation also broke. All three I spoke to at Namecheap support was nice, but none solved any of my issues or got me closer to a solution. I finally moved registrar and came back online in hours.

I despise Namecheap for losing my domain name. All 3 customer service reps won’t return emails or phone calls: Mark James Soria; Danielle Christine De Guzman Pedutem; Lucia0325 (no last name) My website name is worth $10K. Can anyone help me get it back? They notified the old email address despite having the new one. Why don’t they have the decency to respond? All of my email correspondence with all 3 agents went silent… Danielle admitted she made mistakes in her email on Jan.28th: “It is also my fault that I did not double check everything before I let you go.” She admitted that they have the new email address yet used the old one instead for notifications! After that email, she’s ghosted me. Namecheap are thieves with world class “crappy”customer service from 4th world countries with horrible English comprehension. Namecheap’s reputation has disappeared and replaced with lies and corruption. Do not use Namecheap. You’ve been warned.

UPDATE : The answer from go daddy says they dont do that , but there is plenty of reviews online happens the same to other people ! Also i tried it with another domain just for test , after 4 days of typing it in the search bar it was registred !!! This is full scam !

I've been a Namecheap customer for a few years buying several goods and services for a number of my domains. Was charged a renewal for a full year on a web domain in November 2024 which I then cancelled the service a month later. They refuse to credit my account or offer any kind of compensation even though I prepaid service through November and we're currently in March. There is no one to speak to in the US since all their customer service is outsourced via virtual assistants outside the country. As of this message I have now been on the phone with them for over four hours combined and been lied to several times by their virtual assistants. So far I've been hung up on twice and I have in no way shape or form elevated my tone of voice or used a single curse word. I've been in the telemarketing industry for nearly two decades and their virtual assistants clearly perform techniques meant to wear you out and hang up. What's even worse is the beforementioned behavior is not just from the ground level reps but supervisors as well. I have now decided to cancel all future services provided by Namecheap. Tom,This is in response to your reply after my review. If you really care about customer feedback you would open direct dialog. Providing the same number to the virtual call center I just reviewed is a poor attempt to show face in my opinion. We've already ended all our reocurring subscriptions with your organizarion. At the end of the day I loose a fee for a single domain while Namecheap looses all future business for our three domains and growing.

Awful! Only care about money and themselves. Force the dog for treatment and medication. Do not bring the dog there if it possible. Otherwise, you won't see your own dog anymore!
